Lupo_Loopy
Does anyone know how to remove the plastic trim on the inside of the tailgate? I want to whack some `sound-deadening` in there... Any advice appreciated,Craig
cojonito
Undo and remove the 2 screws inside the hand pull recesses - you'll need a star driver for this. Then pull the bottom of the trim away from the tailgate, untill all 3 lower pop clips detatch (don't pull it any further than necessary to do this, or you'll break the plastic lugs further up). Next lift the trim upward -or what would be upward if the tailgate were closed (i.e. towards the window). As you do this some more pop clips on the top edge of the trim (next to the window) detatch. It may be necessary to bang the bottom edge of the trim upwards quite hard with your hand to undo the clips. Then it just lifts off. When putting the trim back, check that the rubber sealing strip is properly in its groove at the top; it has a tendency to fall out. Also, the pop clips can sometimes break, so you might need a spare or too, but this is a lot less likely if they are warm. So do it on a sunny day or in a garage, and definitely not when there's any ice on the car.
