Petes 16V Sport Posted April 11, 2007 Report Share Posted April 11, 2007 i'd go for a semi-synthetic just to protect your engine, but basically you need something that says VW 501.01 or 502.00 or 505.00 on the back of it, it says in your handbook!you can buy quanta oil from your dealer which is very good, I believe semi-synthetic is the standard fill.Or personally id recommend: Shell Helix Plus (semi synthetic 10W-40) or Shell helix Super ( mineral (normal) 15W-40) - with this one though because its 15W-40 might be a bit viscous on a cold morning, so personally id go with the semi synthetic.
