polo_gti
Hi i own a polo gti and i am wondering if lupo gti has the same fly by wire technology as polo has (epc) because i think it is very annoying....Also can you interfere to your rev limiter by reprogramming your ecu?I have siemens ecu and i have been told it cant be done... Tigz™
Hi mate. The rev limitter is stuck unfortunatly.A replacement ECU is the only way to go.What do you find a problem with the flyby wire throttle?
polo_gti
Well it seems to have slow reaction...You can change ecu keeping the same throttle? How about the other electronics of the car will they work ok with the new ecu?Has anybody done this? Tigz™
The throttle responce could be something that VW may be able to alter, Ive heard the Lupo GTi could have two selections.A more responcive, or a smoother setting. But who knows these days. There so over complicated. Why not give someone like JBS a call, they only work with VAG ECUs so may have some idea what could be done. Snoopy
Hi mate. The rev limitter is stuck unfortunatly.A replacement ECU is the only way to go.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Anything's possible - I don't see any reason why the rev-limit can't be increased by someone with sufficient knowledge of the ECU firmware. No point though without some serious mods - the engine's running out of puff at around 6,700rpm.My VX will rev off the clock after the remap (which raised the limiter from 6,500rpm to 7,250rpm), but the only advantage is it'll now do 60mph in second gear. And yes, the DBW lag sucks on the GTI engine, at least at low speeds. polo_gti
Until now nobody has told me that it can be done... I live in greece and here nobody can do it so far... I has thinking changing the ecu instead.. Any opinions on this?
