I appreciate this particular car is a very rare sort after vehicle, which I have a healthy budget to be able to complete a purchase with an Owner if they're willing to part ways. I have had a Lupo GTI since I passed my driving test over 10 years ago and is still my car to this day. Now I am looking to purchase another one. This time, the model I've always wanted. Club member... 👍🏻🇬🇧 Do a search- he was putting out thoughts recently if its worth restoring or scrapping for parts. My guess worth maybe £3k (?) as a rusty thing, which will need probably another 3-5k spent on it. Full, total strip down rebuild. But if you have the skills and time, it might only be £500 in parts and paint. But hours and hours... @tigcraft might be able to help you out. A fully restored Raven Blue Gti is worth somewhere between 6-8k, especially if it's a UK original. Mechanical stuff can be done once it's back in the road again- much easier. A Jap import will total around 8-9k on the road here after all the import and registration costs. And less desirable compared to a UK original. You'd also have to declare that the car is an import which affects insurance. But like you say, it's no longer about the money when it's a Raven Blue. I'd love one.
