Tired
Hi, so last summer my drive shaft dust boot was leaking and it caused me to fail TÜV (German MOT) so I had that fixed. Well today I checked behind the wheel again and this is what I see Im gonna assume the Garage that "fixed" this for me just cleaned it up so that it wouldn't be noticed at the TÜV, since he didn't write anything about Driveshaft in the invoice, which I noticed today also. Im also pretty sure he fitted the wrong dampers in the rear, standard lupo ones, as the car barely even dampens in the rear now. So I was now thinking of just replacing the entire driveshaft. on Autodoc there is one from SKF for the left side https://m.autodoc.de/skf/14657 This one only lists the Lupo GTI as compatible so I'm sure this one is actually gonna fit. But for the right side, all the ones on Autodoc say they fit on all Lupos not just the GTI, even the SKF one. https://m.autodoc.de/skf/14660 And they all have different lengths too. Does anyone know which one actually fits? Im gonna get my car looked at by a different garage next week, because I'm gonna get coilovers and they'll check if there's anything else that needs replacing along with the coilovers. mk2
It's always the left side that fails... I have the same on one of mine. I will swap the boot when the weather is nicer...
Tired
Considering the car is gonna be 26 years old this year, if I were to go about redoing the whole front suspension, can I even still buy all the parts for it new. Or would I have to rebuild some of the old stuff. Has anyone done this recently.

Tired
Got the car back from the mechanic. They told me they recommend me getting new Anti Roll bars with the coilovers. But they wrote Anti rollbar 2x for 80,80€ Now I couldn't find the GTI anti roll bar new anywhere, do you think they quoted me for a standard lupo ARB? And since they wrote 2x I'm assuming the rear one too, but did the standard lupo even have a rear ARB? oh and they also wrote Top strut mount repair kit 2x for 108,05€ this seems quite expensive Edited April 8 by Tired
