Hi all. New member here based in Sevenoaks, Kent.

Im currently driving a BMW Z3 (straight six 2.2) and have for the past 15 years been a bit of a Z enthusiast (this in my 4th Z3 and I've also had multiple Z4's, a Z3M and 2 x Z4Ms). The draw of the VW group has been strong though, and I once owned a secondhand 2001 Reflex Sliver Golf 1.6 auto which was bought when I became a father in 2012 and was by far the best family car I've owned to date.

Nearly puled the trigger on a Lupo over the past few years as they really appeal to me, so my mission is to sell the Z3 and get myself either a Lupo GTI or Lupo Sport to take the kids out in.

Looking forward to reading more into the car and picking up lots of hints and tips in a way only a forum can provide!

Urgh, that awful auto box in the mk4... Hateful piece of French (yes, gearbox made for vdub in France!) engineering. Never seen one last beyond 130k miles. And that plastic inlet manifold that always leaks. Gorgeous straight six in your current motor.

There are a couple on here for sale right now if you have a trawl theough the posts, but be prepared for a shock. There is such a demand for the GTi, prices are seriously high. Similar for the tdi and sport. It's also tricky to find an unmolested example. Many have had wierd mods done. Even the original alloys go for decent money.

Welcome to Club Lupo 👍🏻 :)
