davy26 Posted October 7 Report Share Posted October 7 I've managed to confuse myself (with all the diverse opinions) by looking at the previous posts there have been on this subject - some now, of course, well out of date. I'm looking mainly just to have my Gti sounding more fruity and am not too concerned about seeking any power enhancement. With geography and availability in mind, I'm really down to just the Scorpion and Janspeed cat-backs. I'm inclined towards the Janspeed, but with the Scorpion being less expensive, I'd appreciate any views here please on the quality/value of the Janspeed option. Many thanks. lupogtiboy Posted October 8 Report Share Posted October 8 I've had the Janspeed on my GTI for a good 10 years, maybe longer, and I'm very happy with it. It's definitely louder than the OE exhaust, but not so loud you hate it. I think I got one of the last ones they made with the tail pipes the same size as the originals, so it doesn't look much different to stock (I think the newer version has larger tail pipes).
