Freddie Woodiwiss
Wondering if Mk2 front struts fit lupo, how would they fit? Would it be better for making the car lower, or worse, thanks.

Freddie Woodiwiss
Looks like they do. Been researching. Front struts are interchangeable with Mk2
mk2
The coil seat height is different, as is the clamp spacing on the hub carrier. I'll see if I can find one of each and take a pic. i have a few in a box somewhere!
Freddie Woodiwiss
i have one here. it fits. Air suspension strut
mk2
Pic? Brand/model? Might be a special... I wouldn't mind a set of air on my Lupo 👍🏻 And then I could fit a set of truck/train air horns for the "I'm a serious car owner" feel. Freddie Woodiwiss
Airrex lupo front air struts. Need top mount bearings to make fit. Spoke to a guy on facebook about it
mk2
Not sure about fitting a Lupo as i've not tried it, but I know you can upgrade standard mk2 top strut bearings to the mk3 type... standard mk2 top strut bearings are awful. Freddie Woodiwiss
The specific ones do not fit. Lol so ive gone intermotive instead. just will need to cut and drill the top mounts and then itll be sitting pretty
mk2
Could you use the original rubber cone that fits into the tower? You don't really want to modify the Lupo's suspension towers...? Do you? Surely not?! Or is that what you mean- drill out that metal disk that is moulded into the rubber to fit the shock centre plunger?
