Njhall
Hi all! I wonder whether anyone might be able to give me some pointers on an issue I’m having with my 1997 1L petrol AER Arosa. When cold starting, the engine will catch quickly and run on start up, then die off in seconds. Each time I try to start it, the engine runs for a little longer, but roughly. Eventually, maybe after 8 attempts it will run and revert to running on a couple of cylinders before evening out and becoming able to drive. On frosty mornings it won’t run at all. From what I’ve read on the forum so far, it sounds like a fuelling issue. I have already replaced the fuel filter to no effect and am thinking about swapping out the coolant temperature sensor next… Question is, does anyone know the correct part number for the AER engine? Ones I’m finding online have a green plug, but the one in mine is Black as pictured. Any help, tips, tricks or advice would be massively appreciated! mk2
Yeah sounds like temp sensor. They're only a few quid from vdub direct... worth getting OEM if you're gonna keep the car 👍🏻
