FraH2o
Work on the links helped me, but not enough to achieve the desired goal. In the end I took apart the whole front subframe. This hitting point is really a nightmare for Lupo and polo owners. Which on the bar is located here So with everything disassembled, i checked the space and avaible material to nake another notch to achieve the right clearence for ARB
mk2
Is it because the ride height has changed? May have been easier to move the ARB mounts? Nice work 👍🏻

Nice work 👍🏻 the ride height it's in my idea to drop about 10-11 cm. I've seen a Polo 6N2 owner mod the ARB mount on subframe to lower the ARB about 15mm. In this way he gain the clearence from chassis.....but there's the problem that these lowered ARB mounts will be too close to ground and an easy grinding point. FraH2o
Another problem that has already been solved: with the rising of the entire engine group, the turbo has also risen and consequently also the downpipe that touch the subframe. So, I lengthened the dowpipe with a 15mm collar and modified the connecting tube to give it the right bend. At the beginning I just soldered a few points to check all. Finally I welded definitively After checking, the final welding
FraH2o
I didn't want take off the ARB, finally I notched and re-welded. I tried not to slice the box directly but to engrave and fold it, I made the tests with the bar, then I made 2 plates to close the various gaps. Today I rough up the weld and then proceed with the various layers of protective. Overall right side Overall Left side
FraH2o
I continue with my "arlequin chassis". Rather than find a similar yellow lo LD1B , I painted with the first spray can that comes to hand. Usual procedure.Spray insulation, opaque white, color and final matt coat. Once the subframe has been assembled, I raised the wishbones with the jack and I made the various clearence tests. It's seems work good
FraH2o
I start with the first drop approach to have a first check with the various notches. On the ARB with low level set-up I noticed that there are various schools of thought. Those who take it off, those who say that at certain heights it is useless, those who say that a good set-up is no longer needed. In my experience, the month in which she was disconnected from golf mk3 driving was imprecise and very dangerous. I have found the right clearances to make everything work quietly, and I am happy to know that I have the ARB in its place. FraH2o
I continue with some little fix. I Replaced a broken clip on the support of the ecu Then I looked in vw for the bracket to support the lower intercooler pipe. No longer available. I have made it by myself Finally I closed all the cooling circuit
FraH2o
Finally after 4 months I begin to see some results. I Reassembled the various crossbars before to remove the stands. In the meantime, the new tube for the CDA has arrived, Need some work to find a right location with enough air flow and safe from any rotating element. Pulled down but left on the wedges. I still have to work on the CDA airbox and on connecting the pipes between the diesel filter and the rail. Next week i'll try to turn it on (under VAG) and if everything is ok, I'll start to work on rear.
FraH2o
I redid the last diesel pipes I Assembled the battery holder and linked it, i filled all liquids and then on the later the first re start I checked levels, left on to heat up and check all the various liquids and wait for the fan to start Everything isok and I finally made a diagnosis to see if everything is ok ... and apart from the airbags that are detached, for VCDS is good. All regular and in the parameters and no errors with egr and airbox elimination. And in a while I'll start wortk with the rear.
mk2
Looking good 👍🏻 Check the fuel hose on the right side of the metal feed tubes, near the high pressure pump. It's the short L shaped pipe. It often rubs on the loom and can leak. About 80mm long. I would use the standard air filter, only because the intake air is cooler. Behind the intercooler, the intake air will always be warm, making the intercooler work extra hard. Looks nice though.

tchouki85
yes the fitment is standard 195/45R15 78V too great the transition to disc braking for the rear axle is one of my future projects, if you can put as much information as reference type that would be great, you work very well

I'm looking for the flare tool for brake line. When i'ma ready i'll post all code for made this swap.

Wow! 115 ps it's a very important increase of power....i think it's very funny!. Just ECU remapped or other? Don't you have fear for EXB gearbox? Some people tell me that is a fragile gearbox.
