Lupo 1.4 16v - EML Light on - P0407 - Powertrain Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor "B" Circuit low

All,

My daughters 52 plate Lupo 1.4 16v has had the EML light come on. A quick OBD II diagnostic later and I can see the fault is P0407 - Powertrain Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor "B" Circuit low.

We have noted that the fuel consumption has increased. 

Any ideas please?

What do the measuring blocks look like in vcds? Fuelling, O2 numbers, temps and egr rates?

My guess is probably iffy EGR valve?

Thanks Mk2 - I dont know how to read these numbers out. I only have a very basic OBD2 reader -Ebay special via an app called Torque on my phone.

To be sure where the problem comes from, more info is needed I guess... Not sure what else to suggest, as that code can be caused by quite a few things. Or a combination. But I'm fairly certain it has something to do with fuelling or air flow if that helps!

I've found when the seals go on the intake somewhere (plastic **** specific) it starts making these kind of allegations but it's more of a deviance code.
