If there's anyone that is selling a 1.7 Sid Lupo I'm interested.

I bought one recently but it came out faulty so I had to return due to the high cost for the repair. ( Faulty ECU).

If anyone knows or sells one , please let me know .

Different brakes.

Yup you're right. 256 vs 239mm.

And hydraulic clutch vs crappy cable thing on the SDI. But the slave cylinders go. And so do the camshafts. And so do the balancing chains over 140k miles. But i like the tdi once you strip out the EGR and bung in a straight through pipe.

Wipers and scuttle off.

Battery off.

See two power wires of decent thickness, maybe black/white or red?

Nip into them and just put a 12v live to the battery.

Fire the car up.

Don't question the magic, just stick it on a switch to a 12v live in the cabin and fix the problem without stripping a lot out.

Switch is because it will drain the battery.

Relay easy enough but will require more skill/knowledge.

I disagree. More power than SDI yes. Quieter, no. More vibration. Same brakes. Less reliable engine but better gearbox than an SDI.

@BlacknYellow i've never ever seen a failed Lupo ECU. They are well designed...

@mk2I remember you said the same thing about my SDI ECU he he he.

It's just bypassing the existing Lupo relay... But, you're right. It's quicker to do that than change the dodgy relay.

Didn't you say that after the ECU had been changed it initially made no difference, which is why we were looking at temp sensors and stuff...? :)
