BlacknYellow
If there's anyone that is selling a 1.7 Sid Lupo I'm interested. I bought one recently but it came out faulty so I had to return due to the high cost for the repair. ( Faulty ECU). If anyone knows or sells one , please let me know . BlacknYellow
Was it a plug and play one?
BlacknYellow
I've read that these ECU don't have immobilizer etc. And I can't seem to find anyone that can do a data transfer

The Penguin
A VW Lupo or Seat Arosa TDI is better in every respect, faster, better brakes, equal or better economy and able to be boosted by a re-map
mk2
I disagree. More power than SDI yes. Quieter, no. More vibration. Same brakes. Less reliable engine but better gearbox than an SDI. @BlacknYellow i've never ever seen a failed Lupo ECU. They are well designed...
Rich
Different brakes.

But the slave cylinders go. And so do the camshafts. And so do the balancing chains over 140k miles. But i like the tdi once you strip out the EGR and bung in a straight through pipe. Rich
Wipers and scuttle off. Battery off. See two power wires of decent thickness, maybe black/white or red? Nip into them and just put a 12v live to the battery. Fire the car up. Don't question the magic, just stick it on a switch to a 12v live in the cabin and fix the problem without stripping a lot out. Switch is because it will drain the battery. Relay easy enough but will require more skill/knowledge.

Didn't you say that after the ECU had been changed it initially made no difference, which is why we were looking at temp sensors and stuff...?
