I know what the fault is... :)

It's the short bowden cable that clips onto the top of the throttle pedal and loops over the throttle pedal sensor just above the pedal box. They can jump off. It happened to one of my SDIs after I messed about with the fuse box. If it was a sensor fault, the fault light would be on, which isn't, as the ECU thinks all is fine.

Bargain for someone. And recent receipts. I'm tempted myself to buy it for someone I know who's looking for a car.

On mine, the nut on the quadrant had come loose. Horrible job to fix.
