BioTriffid
Hey everyone I am in the need of information about changing the crankshaft oil seal as I'm leaking from behind the flywheel is it an easy fix or a ballache? Can the seal just pull out and replace without removing the whole unit or isn't that possible any help is much appreciated π
mk2
You'll need to get the flywheel off.... loads a fun. Then it'll all be obvious. There are a few tricks, but you need to make sure that the seal recess doesn't get scratched or marked or it'll leak with the new one. And, you absolutely do not want to mark the crank running surface. I usually piece the seal,Β then with a hardened hook oik the outer ring out. And while everything is in bits, you can overhaul the box, new clutch, releaser etc etc..
