Jonesl129
Hello. Can anyone point me in the direction of where the crank sensor is located on the 1.0L (ALD) engine. I’ve looked everywhere I can, but can’t seem to locate it. Currently the car won’t start and the error code present is p0321 - Engine Speed Sensor (G28): Implausible Signal. Thanks. mk2
Yeah from memory, I think it's down under/behind the oil filter. But could be wrong. Usually they're somewhere in-line with the 4th main bearing journal. There's a ring (with a specific tooth pattern) on the crank that is used to provide pulses for the sensor. Oh and welcome to club lupo pic of car?
ObjectiveAway
I think ALD engine is same as several lupo and polo 6N2 engines, cranckshaft sensor is located under gearbox bell, you can try to locate through starter hole.

Jonesl129
Thanks all. I took the starter out and there it was. Just got to pick a new one up tomorrow and hopefully it solves the issue. The old one was covered in quite a bit of oil.
