Some more up to date pictures of how the car sits. Just because!20210228_180746.thumb.jpg.6371cd95743ac685efeb5a94f88d2e9c.jpg20210228_180731.thumb.jpg.421e404cbae85d8f60e6d9b5ea76542f.jpg20210228_180714.thumb.jpg.7022c60c5a1aa403b521b9be08b16a4a.jpg20210228_180658.thumb.jpg.e639175d48e5a379e3e1a9484923bfde.jpg20210228_180554.thumb.jpg.ccb05a7f87a81fb69edac076a462b308.jpg20210228_180817.thumb.jpg.bf2b505c1eedc36393dd65c42c9ebbf3.jpg

I'm unfortunately starting to get bored. Nothing wrong with the car. It's actually very good at being an car.

Just it seems to be missing whatever it was that my old C200 w202 had that made me keep it for over a year.

However being £1300 into this car, a sale is unlikely to provide me what it owes. It will possibly be replaced around July when the MoT expires and then get covered up and forgotten for a few years.

Such is life I suppose 🙄

Don’t get down about it.

im £1500 into a 16 year old 1.7 diesel lupo ha ha. Don’t do it for the money. Do it for the love of it.

keep it and use it as it’s intended.

Luckily for me mine is a third car but does all the shitty jobs, supermarket runs, commute, tip, dog walks the lot.  Brilliant car

I like the car don't get me wrong. I just don't seem to be feeling the love right now.

Maybe it's lockdown getting me down with it. Not being able to get it out on the open road all that often and only using it for my carers duties is probably what's knocking all the fun out of it.

Only done 2800 miles in 4 months and I usually rack up 12k annually.

I don't think I would be able to bring myself to sell it, I would love to be able to pass it on to one of my kids when they hit driving age in 8 years.... he loves the Lupo and got really angry when he thought I might sell it lol

I have thrown this into dry storage.

I will come back to it when I have a little more enthusiasm to do a bit more. May even take it out once a month or so.

Thought about selling it, can't bring myself to do it.... so in the dry it goes until I figure something out or maybe pass it on to my kids when they are old enough. Who knows.

Old vdub campers/busses are known to be a money pit. A mate restored one till it looked perfect. And lowered, but just about everything else stock. Work of art it was. Really nice. Total cost... £24k! Sold it for £16k two years later. Yeah.

The only Lupos worth investing in right now are Gtis, but they HAVE to be original and UK registered (not Jap imports). A car that won't depreciate any more (so long as it's well looked after). 👍🏻

Yeah, making wierd arty stuff to sell on Etsy seems like a good plan. Forged Lupo statues, tools reformed in the shape of a Lupo, Lupo shaped garden tools... All worked by hand through volcanic heat. Mmmm. Nice.

Leaf blower as air souce, with light dimmer to control fan speed?
