where to find parts?

Hi all,

I am a new member on here so treat me gently. I have just bought my Daughter a 52 reg Lupo 1ltr, with 49000 genuine miles. Body work is a bit messy but engine is fine. Can anyone point me in the right direction for spare parts, like the window crank handle, Ariel etc. I have tried ebay and car spares sites but it I cant find anything for that model. Also does anyone know if there should be a bulb to illuminate the climate controls, as it is in darkness but working. If you can answer any of my questions it would be most appreciated.

A lot of parts are shared with Polo's of similar age - and there are a lot more of them than Lupo's

If you know the part number it should be easier to find what you need on ebay.

Another source that helps is online parts catalogues - but can be tricky to navigate - this is my current goto:

Heater control bulb is behind the centre knob. You grip it with a pair of pliers (rag or rubber sheet to stop scratches), and pull. It's a tiny little thing...

The window winder knob separates from the handle by inserting a wood screw into the white plastic tube in the centre of the knob bit. Pull the tube out and the knob simply comes away. Quick easy swap. i always grab them at the breakers. They don't last. But if you're not fussed, many vdub winder handles will fit, but obviously not Lupo original any more.

yeah, aerial is removed from inside. There's a nut holding it on. But... half the interior needs to come out to get to it. Grab handles. Centre light. Sun visors. Rear quarter covers. Roof liner. Then slide the liner forward once the sides are free. Be VERY gentle. The back edge slots into the rear cross beam (2 pegs).

welcome to club lupo :)

I only grab the centre knob with fingers, sometimes it comes out really easy, sometimes really really hard, but I don't want to damage the pastic.

Have heard the know should be turned to 2nd position during remobal. Thats 2W bulb, part numbers for it:

If autentic look is not necessary, then it is a lot easier to add active antenna kit somewhere in front of car (usually sticked on windshield).
