Gearbox Oil Change

My 2000 Lupo 1.0 has 37k on the clock. There is no service history. I did the cambelt and engine oil a few months back.

I keep thinking I ought to change the gearbox oil. The box seems fine albeit occasionally slightly notch.

Should I make this oil change a priority?
Thanks.

Change the oil. Change the selector seal.

Have a think about whether to switch and use 80w90. I did on my SDI gearbox and believe it is the main reason that box is still in great working condition (albeit on another car) today.
