eVoHicks
Hi people, just a quick question, when the ignition is off and you press the brake pedal does an alarm buzzer go off as if to remind you that your brake lights are on?
Rich
No, you have a cross with the light circuit somewhere.
eVoHicks
Thanks, is it possible that an incorrect brake bulb would do this? I have ordered the correct one but put a random one in today as a temp. Edited July 16, 2020 by eVoHicks
mk2
Yeah, short between tail lamp + and brake lamp +. So when you press the brake light circuit, the power goes back through the tail light circuit and tells the instruments that you've left your lights on... A bit like dodgy earth faults where your indicators dimly flash your tail lights!
eVoHicks
Well, it seems the bulb was the issue, all good now fingers crossed.
