SimonJ65
Have got some Lupo GTi front calipers and 256x25mm discs which I will be putting on my SE along with some Bilstein B8 dampers. ETKA shows different part numbers for the lower ball joints for the GTi with 256mm discs, so my question is do I need to get the ball joints for a GTi (6E0 407 365 & 6E0 407 366) or will the standard 1.4 ones be ok? Why are the GTi ones different with a longer thread? Edited July 8, 2020 by SimonJ65
Rich
The GTi ones provide the longer track etc. (Crap bodge) I assume you're aware the set up your describing doesn't fit the se hubs?
SimonJ65
Yeah, already have the hubs from a Lupo Sport. So I can use the standard 1.4 lower ball joints if not going for a wider track?

Are the GTi struts completely different to normal to allow for a wider track? Trying to figure out why they did it like that.

Rich
Yes. But then research the wheel size and balljoint switch sides thing they did. So much homework.
SimonJ65
I'm sticking with standard SE wheels and no idea what the balljoint switch side thing is?
