SimonJ65
Can anyone explain how the bung pictured below is installed? I thought it went between the starter motor and the block but cant work out the orientation of it. The part number is 030103037B. It is for a 1.4 auto SE. A picture of it fitted would be a great help if anyone has one. Thanks.
mk2
Isn't that seal at the brushes end of the starter? Like when you screw the two bolts tight, it pinches up against the end plate?
Rich
That bung would bug me if I didn't know it covered the crank sensor and allowed for the wire to go through. A pd has something similar on the head for the cam sensor. Edited June 26, 2020 by Rich
SimonJ65
My mistake, that bung fits a manual block not an auto one. Had a look at a BBZ manual block I have hanging around and it is obvious where the bung goes, the BBY auto block doesn't appear to have a bung as the gap that the crank sensor wire passes through is very small. Panic over.
