Ginetta 008
Hi Just joined the forum as a bit of a petrolhead whose car history includes a few ecclectic "classics" such as a Gilbern, Jensen Healey, Alpina B10, 60's Mini Coopers, TVR 390 and TR7 with the same engine as the TVR! and the first Ginetta G15 to be used in competition ( should have kept that one!) My son is currently looking to downsize from a Celica to a Lupo as this would seem to fit his requirements and I wondered if anyone might have an automatic version available or coming up for sale as and when the current exceptional circumstances have concluded? Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thank you Dave
mk2
Good taste in cars indeed. An Alpina. They're rare... Unreliable apparently, but ever so much fun to drive! I might know someone... Ok, I do know an old granny with a 1.4 Auto '02 with something like 40k miles. Not been used for last three years, but doesn't want to sell. Yet. I don't want it- I have enough Lupos for the moment. If she's thinking of selling, I'll let you know. Oh, and welcome to club lupo!

Thanks for getting back to me and the welcome - that's really kind of you and I look forward to hearing from you if and when the lady decides to sell. In the meantime with regard to my Alpina I have to say that it was reliable and had some pace which we managed to demonstrate on a track evening at Oulton Park...... they're a much nicer drive than the equivalent M5 and have lovely, Alpina tuned, suspension. Only problem is if it had gone wrong it would have been quite costly to fix! Have a great weekend and thanks again
