Only the inlet plenum. Blocking off EGR and oil fumes. Divert oil fumes down to the road with a piece of electrical conduit... looks OEM.

service the gearbox. :)

Gearbox was rebuilt last year so the oil should still be good.

I have the egr blank, which pipe carries the oil fumes?

Valve cover to inlet plenum. Block plenum hole. Add conduit to valve cover. I use 50mm glue lined heatshrink to join conduit to fume pipe (cut end off first). I'd still wash out the inlet with thinners (works better than petrol).

This would be quite helpful to me right now, I'll be blanking the egr, cleaning out the intake and removing those trumpets some time soon.

Do all egr blanking plates work? I don't see any for 1.7sdi specifically, just a load of 1.9tdi ones.

Also pictures of this plumbing work would really help, my sdi done nearly 170k so I've just changed both wishbones, all suspension, all bushes, all brakes, tyres.. time to work on clearing up engine/gearbox components and making this as reliable as possible!

Thread resurrect!! 🙂

I'll try and post that "how-to" I've been talking about tomorrow.

Edit-

It's now in the how-to section. Done :)
