weslangdon
Hi, the boss wants a new car so I'm looking through the VW range and the 1.6tdi seems to be in quite a few VW, Skoda and SEAT's, any one got any experience of them, are they mappable and are there known faults, common sense says get a 1.9 tdi Mk 5 Golf but she thinks something newer makes more sense.🤨
Kevberlin
I had a 1.6 diesel in a 2013Â Skoda Superb and it was surprisingly perky for such a big car. Very economical too. I ran the car for 5 years without a problem. The performance compromise with the Superb was when overtaking. There was plenty of top end speed to meet my needs. Audi use it in the A3 and there are many very high mileage cars out there going strongly. As I recall remapping could take my Skoda from 105bhp up to 135bhp. Good luck.
