weslangdon
Problem is and was a soft pedal and excessive travel, changed slave and master cylinder with new ones but the problem persists. after a while the pedal firms up,😣😄 after a quarter of an hour or so, I'm mystified as the clutch isn't slipping or dragging and the gear change is as good as it was after the box was rebuilt 3 years ago. Any ideas out there?
mk2
You need to reverse bleed is my guess. Pump fluid in from the slave end... I had a similar problem with another car a while back.

LR5V
Yes - reverse bleed is definitely the best i overcame my clutch bleeding saga using pump oil can - you want the pump lower than the slave, connect with hose to nipple, prime hose to remove as much air as possible -then you just pump keeping a close eye for bubbles at the reservoir. Before starting drain reservoir.

weslangdon
At the moment the issue has gone, so am even more confused, the system did have a partial bleed when the slave cylinder was changed
LR5V
Sounds like the offending bubble has worked it’s way out of the system
