geoff tl1000r
Hi all, Picked up a 1.4 16v auto Lupo for my wife today. It was my mums car but hadn't been used for a few years. I had all the tryes replaced as they others were old and cracked even though they had loads of tread left. The passenger side headlight was replaced as it was coudy. Runs very nice but surprised that the brakes aren't very sharp. Our son-in-laws Polo seems much easier to slow. I have a few things to look at. Passenger window doesn't work and the fuel gauge seems to be reading wrong. My wife is happy because it's an auto, she never really liked the manual Mazda RX8. Looking forward to being chaffeured everywhere now! 😂 Geoff
mk2
Service the auto box. You must do it. Both fluids and a new filter. Everyone forgets that autoboxes need servicing as often as engines need oil changes if yiu want them to last.... yeah brakes need stamping on compared to polo. Polo and Golf are too sensitive IMO. oh and welcome to club lupo!
geoff tl1000r
Thanks mk2. I have fresh fluids on the to do list. Need to order the correct fluids first so a bit of searching is in order. Geoff
