Stua9
I've got an 03 Arosa and yes the bloody boot only opens from inside but.. I had the lock ect off, it works fine locking it from the fob but won't unlock, now what I don't get. Everything's free and not stuck ect so why won't the long rod from the lock going to the actuator move down itself, I need to pull it. Like I say, the lock and actuator works fine but the this bloody rod won't move down on it's own..
Sausage
Broken spring, weak actuator?
Stua9
Spring (in the lock) is fine but how would I know if it's weak, actuator's fine to but greased it for good measure.
mk2
The push-pull force is the same either way from the actuator. So if you do it by hand, the lock/unlock force to make the mech work should 'feel' the same. If not, something has broken or dropped off... Or it could be a dodgy electrical relay contact in the CCV module? Just a guess though. Edited September 6, 2019 by mk2
weslangdon
Have you sprayed wd40 or similar onto your key prior to inserting it, accepted its likely something more complex but I've had that problem with an Arosa and it just needed extra lubrication
