weslangdon
In the far North West, Isle of Lewis, seller says it need a new front subframe, I'd guess it's due to rust and sea salt in the air rather than road salt https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Volkswagen-Lupo-1-4tdi/123780972554?hash=item1cd1ebc00a:g:ppAAAOSwjK9c6aIi Very difficult to check before you buy so needs a local buyer
Sausage
My thoughts were if that is from rust then the car is ****ed, rear beam, sills etc wont be far behind. Seaside cars always rust more, on a tiny island it has very poor odds. Edit: ok IOL it's several times bigger than IOW I know nothing about geography lol. Best ask the seller if it is cracked, bent or rusty. Edited May 27, 2019 by Sausage
weslangdon
Two long narrow islands Harris and Lewis, over all a mild wet climate, much milder than Scotland itself but windswept and no trees for shelter so I'd agree salt is a huge issue for our galvanised heroes. Basic access is either to fly or by CalMac ferry. Few direct flights too so the complexity of getting there is very expensive.
