Rumble noise

Hi guys

I posted on here a few days ago saying the car developed a noise

I've since then changed bearing and looked at the cv's and all is well with that still have the same rumbling sound brakes do not affect the noise so my only other guess is a bent drive shaft(s) anyone with a similar problem had this fixed before any help would be much appreciated

Thanks

Kieran

Depends what your version of rumble is.

Rumble is usually tyres, whine is usually gearbox.

It could well be inner cvs, if it is really low and has been hitting the chassis rail with the drive shaft they dont take kindly to that, but given the 085 gearbox is prone to problems expect the worst.

It's makes noise from 20 up to 70+ mph. I know for sure it's not the cv's as I've had a good look at them and they are sound on both sides I was thinking diff maybe bearing maybe going or if I have a bent drive shaft as it has marks on it from rubbing on something. I guess I can get the wheels looked at for good measure too.

Give the diff flanges (inner cv joints, gearbox side) a good shake. There should be no movement at all.

Or it could be wheel bearings, but it'd be obvious which one when turning.

Just my luck the weather cleared for 10 minutes so I could swap them over still having the same thing even with them swapped over will definitely change shafts now not much else it could be...

Hahaha you lad I've got new shafts on the way now just gonna go through a process of elimination to be honest the car needs the tlc as I've been doing a lot of miles lately so new parts are well welcome to be fitted on in my opinion lol 🤘🏻
