mk2
Full isn't full on an SDI when you fill at a petrol station. You can get another 8 or so litres in if you press the little button just inside the filler. Some sort of air vent pressure balance thing. My best is about 550 miles on motorway runs on a brimmed tank (32L). Both my SDIs do the same.

mk2
I've wedged a little piece of rubber tube between the button and the slot it sits in to keep it depressed.

Darran
First tank fuel I had 360 miles that’s without pushing button and most of miles are local runs not much distance per run so works out 127.9 per litre £34 a tank 360 miles =61 mpg
