Karnipex
Hi All, I am soon to be purchasing, hopefully, a VW Lupo 1.4E (1999) and I was wondering what to expect from the car. I have yet to test drive the car and was wondering if you could give me any handling tips, or explain what a Lupo should feel like. Many Thanks. mk2
Get a slightly newer model and your yearly running costs will be much lower (road tax).
Sausage
Naw, pre Y plate is £155 and after is £195 (more if an auto). If you have the reg number look up the MOT history on it to make sure mileage matches and what it has failed on previously, look for signs of neglect like fails for tyres down to cords and worn out brakes. Cant really tell you what it should handle like just no wandering, bangs, clonks and rattles unless very obviously just the exhaust or something simple, should stop in a straight line with no pulling. Also depends what you are paying for it, if bargain basement then rattles clonks etc go with the territory tbh.
