Hello all!

I just found this site a couple days ago and am anxious to read all about these cars. I didn't even know they existed until I saw one for sale on a Japanese import website about a week ago. I then realized they are one of the several VW models we saw in Argentina on our visit there 2 years ago that are not offered for sale in Canada.

A little personal car related history: there has been VWs in my family since about 1967 and we have owned and maintained Bugs, Buses, Square backs, Rabbits, and most recently Jettas. There are also 944s, a sand rail and a Manx copy Buggy presently in the stable.

What brings me here? My wife delivers rural mail here in our area and as you know we drive on the right side of the road with the steering wheel on the left. This makes it awkward to stuff letters in mail boxes on the right shoulder of the road. Enter - right hand drive cars imported from Japan, problem solved! The first was a Dihatsu mini truck, worked alright but the low gearing and 660cc engine made for slow going and lots of engine difficulties. Next was a Subaru Forester, Yee Haw!! No more snail mail! She gets out and goes but fuel consumption is up considerably and now with over 200,000 km on her we find repairs to be getting more frequent.

So - how about one of these little Lupos? Maybe a happy middle of the road option? I hope so... it is on it's way... 2002, green, 67,000 km, 1.4 automatic...

We shall see!

Also hello and sorry for jumping in this post. Probably get a warning point thing for changing the subject 😂😂

She is aware but hopefully that's as far as it goes

What do you even actually mean as far as it goes?! You said I’m allowed a viewing! Don’t ruin this..... I’ve been so excited!

Also, oprn is “porn” muddled up.

I am not the one with the reputation here...😉 and this is the "CAR" forum in case you have mixed it up with the dating site again!

Hahahaha trolls.

Why so toxic? No need, you’re both just jealous because my cherry is amazing 😉

Sorry! I didn't mean to offend you, I was just giving you a hard time in reference to some posts a while back about Pete...

We haven't seen a pic of the inside of your fresco car for a while @mscherryviolet.... last totalled one had some excellent arty additions all over the place in the form of cherry stickers and a funky headliner. Or have you gone all sensible on us :)

Frank I kid you not, if you saw the inside of the fresco you’d be mortified. It’s full of crisp packets and bits of kinder egg.

I pointed out where there is a black headliner and she can't be arsed

I will have it but when are you around to get it??? We need a chat!!

My guess is that is due to kids... kids and cars don't mix. In fact from what i've been told, kids and nothing mixes well. Everyone i know with young 'uns have the backs of  their seats kicked in, chocolate and various susbstances mashed into the headliner, carpet, seatbelts, cloth and door handles covered in icky goo... bring back vinyl for families!

So is that why Kinder eggs are illegal in the US of A?

Maybe them Yankies is smarter than they looks... Hmmm?

It's because the plastic eggs are perfect for narcotics.

Plus there's not enough chocolate and sugar for the yanks.

And the instructions for building the toy would have to be more in depth.

Think size of Haynes vs size of the Bentley

Oddly enough, i like yank chocolate (no innuendo please!). Reeses peanut butter cups. Mmmmm.

strange rules in places like arizona. You can have a gun on your passenger seat, but any sign of a kinder egg, you'll be arrested! :)
