Eleanor Carter
V reg VW Lupo 1.0 red. MOT until August 2018. 172,000 miles. This year he's had new brake shoes, handbrake cables, tyres, spark plugs, steering rack gators, oil filter and windscreen. I've had this car for 8 years since I passed my test. He's never let me down, always starts first time even if he's sat at the airport for a week and never overheats even in heavy traffic. I now do a 40 mile there and back commute to work so I've decided it's time to get something newer but he's never let me down. Bodywork has bumps and scrapes, mainly on bumpers. No dents or major scratches. Has a rusty stone chip on the bonnet and the lacquer has started to peel on the bonnet and roof. It was sold to me as not having power steering but I think it's just the standard heavy Lupo steering. No electric windows or central locking but does the job! Has a CD stereo with AUX jack but needs new speakers. Had his pedal box replaced and upgraded back in 2011. Has paperwork for all the work he's had over the years. Fully serviced every year and very much loved! He has recently sprung an oil leak which I had investigated. I was told he needs a new cam gasket sump and sump gasket. Runs fine as is but does leak quite a lot. Looking for £200 or near offer. It's a good little car and far too good to scrap despite the leak and high mileage! Would love him to go to a real VW lover! Rich
I don't envy whomever did most of those miles in a one litre!
Eleanor Carter
I did about 100,000 of them and loved every mile!

hoddlewaddle
As co-owner of a 1.0 with 174k on the clock... I can only say don't sell it, you'll regret it! Mrs Waddle has never sold a car, and I don't think ever will. We've been all over the country in ours, just done a 800 mile trip around Wales, and loved it! I'd take this off you but we have no space and no need for another little car...
