Beccasaurus
Hello all, My GTI will no longer start and it's a bit of a mystery. It turns over fine but will not start. We got it running once, but it was very lumpy and I had to keep my foot on the throttle to keep it running. I've had the throttle position sensor off and cleaned it but it didn't make a difference. It won't jump or bump start. It's been plugged into vagcom and flags no fault codes. The only unusual thing on vagcom is that the live screen didn't register any RPM when it was turning over, so I've ordered a cam sensor to try that. Just wondered if anyone else had any ideas? Google has found similar cases but nothing quite the same. Oh just to add, it's had a new battery and had the alternator tested, and also a compression test, all fine.
