Rear of the front wing that's where it mounts, either didnt fit very well and that's the best they could do or else just slapped on and your gap is the result. it's not structural unless the rust gets a hold in the gap and rots the sill.

Undo the two bottom bolts, the screw that holds the wing from inside the car near the top door hinge and the screw at the top of the wing bonnet junction by the bottom corner of the front window and slide the wing back. The only problem bolts are the bottom two as they rust and can be difficult to remove but a grinder cures this and then you can use a pair of stainless nut and bolts instead
