wehey
So the black Tdi was prematurely taken off the road today when the CV joint started to knock real badly. The Silver Tdi has now been insured and tax and taken for its first proper drive. The first thing I have noticed is a really erratic temp gauge. The car warms up as normal and the needle begins to rise. It got to just below 70 then just dropped to 0 in an instant. Then it will spring back into life and rise to 70 again......then repeat. Once the car was properly warmed up it settled just at about 80 and stayed there. Faulty water temp sensor maybe?? What do you think?? wehey
So I ordered a temp sensor from EC Parts and surprise surprise, they sent the wrong item. Went into the local shop with the old one in hand. He put the part number into his computer and they don't even list it as a part for the Tdi!! He found the part on his system but for another car....so I took and and it works and has sorted out the issue.
