The time has finally came around to start properly looking in the market for a gti I've been looking for a couple of months so understand the prices but wasn't in the position to buy one but now I'm pretty much ready to buy one I've got a  month before my insurance ends on my current car so not in a rush :-) some criteria

Black,Grey,Red and Raven Blue are the colours I'm only interested in.

6 speed is essential

so what's out there? :-)

In the next month to six weeks I'll be putting my 2003 GTI up for sale. Details as follows:

  • 2003 (03)
  • Anthracite
  • 73,000 miles
  • 6 speed
  • Black and red cloth interior with leather door cards
  • 6 CD changer
  • Lowered on coilovers but otherwise mechanically standard

The car will have 12 months MOT before being advertised. I've had it for 2 and a half years and it's been an absolute joy to drive and own. I'm only selling it because I've bought another one :)

PM me if you want any more info. I'm on holiday twice over the next month which is why I'm waiting to advertise it to avoid issues with people coming to view etc. Can't seem to find any photos of the interior, apologies for that.

2003 Raven Blue Lupo GTI 125Bhp 6 Speed

Here is my well loved Lupo GTI

5 Months MOT

No Modifications Mechanical or Cosmetic

Mileage is 134,000
I've spent a lot of time and around £5000 on this car.

Bad point -
Paint is as to be expected on a 13 year old car.

slight judder on acceleration due to a cam cover gasket (easy fix but no time or money to do so)

Underneath the car is solid as a rock

will provide some spare parts if required.

Will be a shame to see this go due to an upgrade but I've been as honest with the ad as I can, any questions please ask

Sold As Seen
£3250 O.N.O

It happened 2 days ago only found out what is wrong with it when i took it in to get it checked out!

because the sealent (not gasket) has gone it is leaked a bit of oil into the spark plugs 3 and 4 and as a result cant always sprk properly causing the slight judder! Thats all

  • 3 weeks later...

52 plate raven blue gti.
6 speed gearbox
130.1k miles (mostly motorway)
MOT until October passed with no advisories
Mechanically sweet as a whistle. Very few minor issues (explained at the end of this)
Full service history (minus 3 jobs)
Cam belt, water pump and serviced late May(123k). (no receipts for these)
New front brake setup (discs, pads, calliper and hose) in March 2015. Have receipt for this.
Weitec hicon gt coilovers.
Smoothed front bumper.
Legal Pressed plates
Wheels were refurbed in January 2015, had brand new tyres (slight camber wear up front)
Scorpion exhaust (middle and back)
BMC CDA air filter.
Interior is the basic cloth gti seats. No upgrades or mods internally)

Downsides;
Passenger window sticks (slides down but sticks sliding back up, I think it's the felt bulging up which means easy fix)
Drivers side has started doing the same (not as bad though and occasional)
High level brake light (spoiler) isn't working (this is a common fault)but I have a replacement light, never got round to it.
Boot lock piston occasionally works. (Currently working)
As you'd expect for a 14 year old car, Few marks on the body but nothing major (slight paint bubble on drivers front arch, bit of a scuff on passenger side rear bumper)
Earlier in the year, the hand break made a clunk and now sits very high. I've had a look and the passenger side cable has slacked a lot. (It still works)

Included in the sale are: 2 engine covers. Set of standard suspension (no rear shocks). Both front drive shafts. 1 brake disc (previous owner before I did the full replacement), spoiler brake light and injectors, Standard headunit with CD player (no code), Touch up paint and the standard rear wiper

Car is currently SORN.
£3000

More photos can be taken if needed.

handbrake cables are on order. Will try to fix it.

Just put the for sale post up, so more pictures are on there
