LexG Posted September 27, 2015 Report Share Posted September 27, 2015 HiSo my Gti only remotely locks the boot, the drivers side sometimes works and the passenger one does not work at all, never, not even a clicking sound.I've read many threads and it looks like the micro switch things.. LexG Posted September 30, 2015 Author Report Share Posted September 30, 2015 ThanksOk so I removed both lock mechanisms, took them apart .....no obvious problems with the solder on either. Micro switches were all fine. I cleaned them and popped them back in, still nothing from passengers side, not even a click. Drivers side works, then doesn't then works sometimes......I've heard about the solenoid but have no idea what it is .. I think I'll buy some new mechanisms...
