Did you say it does start eventually?

The pressing of the brake switch is very strange indeed. Makes me think it might be some kind of earthing issue, although I wouldn't rule out the ignition switch. I can see why James thought it was the battery because when my battery died I had similar experiences of the clocks clearing etc.

That said, I feel if the ignition switch was ballsed it shouldn't be clearing the clocks like that. It looks as though there is a short causing the current to drain which causes the fragging of the clocks.

Get the column off, let's have a look at the ignition switch.
