Those wheels look great on the lupo

They do, will have to wait until spring/summer 2016 to get them on tho :(

Anyway, I went out today and took a few pictures of a dirty car :)

"Dirty", you be so funny!

It is! Will hopefully get a clean this weekend tho :)

New camera is working well!

Were these taken in Lausanne?

About 10km away. Nice quiet place by the side of the road to just park the car and take pictures, will take you on Saturday!

Well, time for a bit of an update!

Nothing too exciting has happened to the car, it got serviced by Mr. Jon_273 while I looked and tried to learn how to do it.

After that it's just been used, washed and used again with the most remarkable trip being one to Italy for the day. I still haven't got round to getting the pictures from my camera to the computer, so these phone pictures will have to do for now:

In other more annoying news, my aircon doesn't work. So that's another thing to get sorted

Update time!

So this week's jobs were to raise the exhaust a little bit and to fit new wheel arches, as the ones that came with the car were broken. Somebody at some point thought it would be a good idea to rivet them and add some Scotch tape all over. I sometimes wonder what really goes on inside some peoples' minds...

So, out with the old (and out with your usual dirt behind the wheel arches):

And in with the new:

After this, it was time to raise the exhaust a little bit. Here you can see the mess we make whenever we work on our cars... So far no neighbours have complained, so all is good

And the final product:

Next update will be much much more interesting ;)

No big update as of yet, I've moved houses and haven't had time!

I've come to Spain on holidays, driving the Lupo. It's been great for the 1000 miles of driving and was lucky enough to have 20ºC all the way through France, so no sweating due to my non-working aircon

Over here, the car has been properly cleaned and polished. Barely used it as it's too hot to drive around with no aircon (the SDi does the same job and it's cheaper to run), which should be sorted and working *fingers crossed* tomorrow. The BBS wheels should be on by the end of the week too, let's hope it all works out and I can go back with a fully working aircon and some new wheels!

And a picture of the climate control, as requested by Mr. Jon and awaited by Mr. Rich:

Why oh why didn't UK Gti's get climate? Or ESP?

lovely Lupo you have, and some lovely scenery to show it off in!

AFAIK, ESP was standard everywhere except for the UK. I think you were the only ones not to have it!

Thanks! I'm going to try and take some pictures here in Spain while I'm here... But it's difficult between seeing everybody and sleeping siestas

Full house for the buttons. No blanks in sight!

It looks brand new!

You know it could do with paint in a couple places, but for a 2002 car you can't really complain, can you?

In other news, my aircon is now working perfectly. Turns out the compressor was shot and VW quoted me 1000€ for parts and labour for a new one.

100€ and some dirt in my hands later, I have a working second hand one in :D

Because you have costly insurances already, they can cover up "ditch retrieval"

Your car looks great Alv.

Looks stunning! :o

Thanks a lot ^_^

I'll throw in another picture for good measure

I think I'm going to leave it like it is. It's not super low but it's practical, and looks good.

As for how it drives... well, those people at KW certainly did a good job! I'm only missing my BBS wheels now

Look's about as low as I have mine, does look good! You thought about some spacers for the rear wheels? I have 20mm's on mine and it stops the wheels hiding in the arches nicely :) I really want a Anthracite GTI though now seeing this one!
