Dblock
Hi Guys, I have a 2003 Seat Arosa 1.4 Tdi. I have had this problem twice now so it's not just a fluke. The other day driving along at 70mph. The glow plug light comes flashing on I lose power. I press the clutch down to coast to the layby but taken it up again it wasn't in limp mode. Checked my scangauge no faults. Now today I was sitting in traffic idling. It just cut out. Tried restarting, engine turns but wouldn't catch. Glow plug light isn't coming on. I was on a hill so I put the key to the 2nd click and wrestled the car to pull over. Just as I was about to pull over the glow plug light came on and I heard the lift pump priming. Turned the key and it fired like nothing had happened. I don't know if this is something to do with the glow plug relay or the immobilizer. But any suggestions on what or where to look would be appreciated.

Rich
If the glow plug light wasn't an issue then the cam sensor would be at fault.Pd engines are easy.
