I have a Touran 55 Reg.(2005)

i'm having sporadic problems with the interior heater system.

most often it will not get hot enough but sometimes it does.

i have already had the coolant thermostat changed which might have made some difference but the heat out of the heater is not good enough most of the time!

You need to assertain which aspect you're unhappy with.

Is the fan working at all the different speeds?

Is it that you're just unhappy with the heat coming from the fans?

Is it possible that the car has suffered from a blown heater matrix and someone has bypassed it within the bay and you haven't noticed until now ?

Thanks for the info

The fan is working perfectly on all speeds.

The heat from the fans, when set to max is mostly not very hot but is sometimes quite hot.

had the car from new so no one has meddled with the system before

thanks

Colin

Excuse Pete.

He is the forum retard. It's not often he get's out of the care home or allowed unsupervised access to the internet, but when he does, well we just accept him for what he is.

Love you Pete.

Bry; get him back in his cell room!

Grill blocking.

Ghetto as **** but it works so well!! I'll be doing some nearer January when it gets mighty cold.

If it heats up well on a run intermittently then surely it could be a water pump issue? You've had it from new, not noticed any leaks before or during the issue. So a component failure must surely be possible.

And love you too Rayray, that's the nicest thing you've ever said about me.

I don't know how cold it is there but it's about 9c here I'm still on grill block already. Round town it's about 86c driving slowly. 89c on the dualer.
