Hi! I've just got my Lupo, its a '99 1.0 AER and I'm trying to put it back on the road. One thing I need to fix I think is the left hand set of dials in the binnacle - I mean the rev-counter, fuel guage, temp gauge etc - seems to be dead. None of the dials move or even flicker at all. The only activity seems to be the fuel indicator which illuminates to say "need fuel now!" Has anyone seen this before, I thought initially it may have been an iffy connection, so I've taken the binnacle out, cleaned the contacts and reattached firmly to the plug but no luck? -
Still having problems with my instrument binnacle. My fuel warning light stays on despite the fuel gauge working normally and tank fuel of petrol. This might be linked to the ongoing issue with the rev-counter which still isn't working - it stays stuck on zero and never moves. I have tried another instrument cluster to see if it is a problem with the unit but unfortunately (aggravatingly) no! fuel warning light still comes on while gauge reads max and rev-counter still sound asleep. Also checked fuses which are all 100%. Anyone have any ideas? ps I found a post on another forum which mentioned the same issue for a 96 Audi A4 and wondered if it was an alternator issue??? What???

Hi, i recently fitted a lupo sport inlet manifold and throttle body to my 1.4s but ive had problems with the car such as rough idling. The car sounds as if its cammed when at idle. On occasion the car will also cut revs and wont rev at all, i do have engine codes and i have checked them, it says P0106 - MAP/Barometric Pressure Circuit Range/Performance Problem It also says fuel bank trim 1, i have replaced the map sensor but did not fix the problem. The car is fitted with a gti throttle body which has extra vacuum pipes that don't connect up to my engine. I was wondering if it was just a case of there not being enough fuel and that it just needs mapping but am unsure if it is something else. Does anyone have any ideas to what it could be?

Hi, I'm looking at lupos at the moment, was just hoping someone could clarify if this is normal for the rev dials: Not sure if you can see, but the rev counter isn't actually on zero, its above zero but slightly below ten. I've seen several lupos with this, and just hoping someone can tell me if it's normal or something to walk away from. Thankyou!
