Hi there, Please excuse my novice mechanical language.... I have owned my fox for around 7 months and recently it has developed a rattle near the top of what I believe is the timing belt, where it is attached to the engine itself. Please see video, < I let a friend who knows a fair amount about cars have a listen and he recommended that I don't take it anywhere so just now it is off the road. Hey my first VW Lupo and my first car ive had done up. ive already.. changed the colour (purple) Lenso alloys 15" SPORTEX Twin 3" centre exit exhaust with tail pipes lights all round have been changed and tinted tinted windows, what else can I do to it as im not 100% sure what else to do

Hello, I Recently bought a sat nav from Garmin and i want to set up the fuel economy part of it, but i have been searching the the internet for the City Fuel Economy and the Mwy Fuel Economy and cant see it anywhere! Well not for the 1.0 litre anyway! Does anyone have the data or a link to a website that could help me out? Many thanks!

Hi I have owned this car for just over two months now and I can't fault it its a great car!- nippy, sticks to the road, responsive... But I need something bigger, as much as I love small VWs. It's done 94k miles, it's got MOT till December, it's completely standard apart from a backbox delete so the exhaust is a bit louder (sounds good). Body work and paint is good condition apart from a scuff on the front bumper. Interior is good for the age and I've got stacks of history for it. The top end was rebuilt 10-12k miles ago with new valve seats, valves, head gasket, timing belts etc. (So engine drives spot on, gearbox is good too! (This is the 5 speed model). Since owning it I've replaced both drivers side window switches, drivers door lock mechanism, front pads and discs, oil and filter change, air filter, got the tracking done and spent a lot of time polishing the car. All in all it is a great car but I do need something bigger for work and sadly can't afford to run two cars at the moment. Car is fully hpi and accident clear etc. I am looking for £3200 for the car and it is located in Torquay (South Devon). Feel free to message me for any questions you have about the car, cheers.

I have a VW Urban Fox and I'm looking to swap my VW emblems for black ones but I have no idea what size I need and I'm having trouble finding ones that fit the Fox. Are they the same size as any other VW? If anyone knows where to buy them it would be greatly appreciated!

I had a little bump at about 5mph the other day, and now the front bumper on the passenger side has been pushed out abit nothing major just about 5-10 mm and the plastic trim that holds the indicators on the front has been pushed out I think. So basically does anyone know how to fix this with out taking it to the body shop?

Hello, I'm looking to give my dashboard a small upgrade, so far i have started with replacing the radio that was stock with a Sony one. I'm looking to change my gear stick knob also and would like any links to some that yous think are good looking and comfy and if someone one could explain the process in replacing one that would be great also I'm also on the looking for the dials that control the heating and AC, if yous have any links to metal or chrome ones that would be great! And finally if yous have any suggestions on what I should do to the dashboard or interior please let me know Thank you David

HI, I recently got myself a second hand lupo and i'm in love with the car. Only problem being that when I pull the level to open the bonnet the lever just pops off and i have to put back on, is there something i need to be pulling on or something to press. Thanks, Dom

Hi guys, i have recently bought a vw lupo and want to do it up so it looks nice, so far i have lowered it with a 40mm drop and was just wondereing if anybody knows where i can get a centre exit bumper, i want the exhaust coming out the centre but want to try and avoid cutting the original bumper, i would also like to know if anybody knows of where i can get any schmidt th line alloys for cheap

Hey guys, Been the owner of a Fox for the past two years now, but couldn't get an Urban Fox at the time, so had to get the basic one with non-electric windows! With summer (hopefully) approaching, electric windows would be so much nicer! Does anybody know if it is possible to retrofit them, and if so, how much for parts/where to get them from etc? Any advice would be much appreciated! Cheers!

Hi guys I'm new to the forum and thought I'd create a thread for "Rosie" the Arosa who I purchased on Sunday, she only has 35k miles on the clock! Not bad for an old girl eh? This car is actually for my girlfriend when she passes which I hope will be soon, not sure what to do with her yet, obviously lows and new rims in the not to distance future, can anyone think of anything else?

I recently bought my first car (1.4 16v lupo) and I seen a lot of people with aftermarket interior (clearly not standard) and I can't seem to find where to get hold of some? Such as new rear seats, new roof linings.. Any help is appreciated

Hi, I have been on here for almost a year,loved Lupos for quite a while and always been into Vw's since I was a child, so its about time I got one and its happened, picked myself up a Black Lupo 1.0, saw her on Autotrader and she was in Yorkshire and I couldn't turn it down, bit far but every time I would find a Lupo for sale near me (being down in Cornwall) they would always be sold or have someone waiting to buy it, so after finding this one, I could not turn it down, and the price was great, so I called the garage up and they still had her available so after some very short decisions we put a deposit down, we were planning to collect her, but the garage had a friend that had a Low Loader and was willing to bring her down to me, this took the trouble out of getting her, so we paid and on the 30th of June she arrived at 7 in the morning. Later in the day I took to cleaning and got her shining and that was it for a couple of days.

Hello guys and girls this is my first post on here so sorry in advance if its a bit crappy. i actually bought lucy in april this year but hadn't past my test until the end of august. it took me so long to post on here because i didn't think there was any point due to not having any modifications but loads of people are doing it so why no eh? May i introduce you to lucy the lupo http://www.flickr.com/photos/106892742@N02/sets/72157637047372176/ Bought her at 101000 miles with only a leaky shock which i got fixed the next week. she's only a 1.0l but she's got a heart of gold, doesn't put a foot wrong over the past few months i haven't really done much, just kept her as clean as time will allow as i am a full time student. at first i painted the badge surround neon pink (don't ask). it looked tacky from day one i don't know what i was thinking. a couple weeks ago i paint the surround gloss black as trying to rub it down to bare plastic was gonna be difficult with some of the angles. i removed the bump strips which took like two days because some of the glue was properly hard to get off. I think since I've bought her i think the biggest mod I've done is the cupholder/coin tray. bought it off ebay for about £20 with out a single mark on it. was well chuffed as i had been hunting for one since pretty much the day i bought it. yes i know the rear head rests are missing i removed them so i could actually see decent out my rear window. i couldn't seem to get into a position that would allow me to see behind me comfortably so they're sitting in a cupboard somewhere as i never have anyone in the back anyway. for sale or swap if anyones interested thought i doubt anyone will be as they are the infamous hoop version. message me if you are interested though, heck message me even if your not. could do with some people to familiarise myself with being my first post and all. If you've made it through all of that then my question is what cheap mods would people recommend that would make this car a little nicer without having to declare it to my insurance. Not looking to do anything big just little details. thank you for reading this and again sorry if the post was a little (or a lot) crappy. my grammar and punctuation are also not brilliant i am aware of this i have slight dyslexia so don't hate.

My vw lupo 1.4 s will not start I will turn the key in the ignition and the engine will turn over but will not start up some times it does start but only for 2 seconds and then dies please help this problem came suddenly was working one time and then I didn't drive it for about a month because it was out of battery. Then I went to jump start the car and now this has happened please help Thanks Jack
