My Car Diary

Currently Driving

  1. Hi everyone.. Had my Lupo for a while, brought it with a broken gearbox (the common rivit shearing issue).. I had the gearbox replaced and everything was good...
  2. Im looking for a standard/stock exhaust for a lupo sport.does anyone have one for sale for the sport or gti(I hear the gti exhaust fits the sport?) I need the down pipe and back box. Thanks
  3. So i previously owned a 1.4 lupo S in yellow, loved it to bits, but sold it, had a few mods, lowered, debumpstripped, map, sprayed badges the usual, Enough about the old car, i got a dent in it from hitting someones backbox on a dualcarriageway! ): After selling this i bought the Green 1.4 sport! This is when i got it! Straight away had problems, engine management light came on, caused by loads of **** in the air intake, basically an old man owned this car for 8 years! and never put his foot down in it meaning that it slowly got clogged up and full of sh**t so i had to take off the EGR valve to clean up and intake head, this sorted things out Yes the engine was very dirty but it soon looked like this! (rocker cover was in the boot) Got a few little mods straight away like some white bulbs, had yellow ones in the old car, wasn't easy to see! and some of them aeroflats! Also the exhaust was completely black soon had it shining! My old car had no bumpstrips, it looked so much better, so thought it'd be good idea to take mine off the new sport, although hit problems straight away, it'd clearly been previously sprayed! ): This is currently how the car is looking, and the coilovers are ofcourse on order!, Thats all for now! i'll post soon on any updates! work in progress!

  5. Hi everyone, Not much of a poster on here...more of a lurker. So I thought I'd post a readers ride blog of the gfs loop and my Ibiza. The lupo was bought already modified, somethings I like, but not too keen on the wheels myself or the audi s-line badge on the back... but Amie (gf) wont let me take it off. I tell her it looks crap but she wont listen!!! Lupo Spec: 1.4 16v 100bhp momo 15" alloys split spoiler headlight brows standard suspension standard exhaust Some pics for you; I try my best to convince her to get new wheels at least.... she wanted to at one point, nearly had some bbs rx's but the guy sold them to someone else after we had agreed to come collect them, got there and they'd gone... 7. After a Drivers side wing, tailgate (bootlid) and bonnet for my mk2 Arosa Cheers.
  8. After a 121mile each way I finally picked up a Sport as I've been after one for a couple weeks. It's not exactly in the best condition body-wise as the previous owner's ex girlfriend kicked in both rear 1/4s, boot, bonnet and a wing. But I got it quite cheap My mate had hardly used pads and discs off his polo gti so I decided to fit them but the discs were too thick!! Bought some standard discs in the end but still used the green stuff Mods: - Coilovers (not sure what they are but theyre comfy) - K&N Air filter - Catback system Plans: - Replace engine - Make the car mechanically sound - Sort out bodywork - 15" Ronal Turbo's
  9. I test drove a Lupo sport today noticed it had disc brakes on the back I was wondering if the 1.4s has disc or drum brakes. Anyone know?
  10. After a Lupo/Arosa sport, got £1500 cash on me, Please let me know (inbox) if there's any for sale!!! cheers, Kaeten.
  11. Up for sale is my Lupo sport project because I have far too many projects, and just don't have the time to finish it! Everything is there to complete it. The engine is in position on the mounts but not fully wired up. I have attached the driveshafts and gear linkage but you will need to fit the exhaust manifold/intake/throttle body/fuel rail etc. and all wiring (all there in the engine bay, just needs connecting). It is a 1.4 16v Lupo Sport with 91000 miles. The car is still MOT'd but not sure how long. It has electric windows but the drivers side has come off runner, easy fix. The door check straps also creak when opening the doors but this is a very common problem and an easy fix can be found on the forum! Everything else is in good working order; brakes and handbrake, power steering etc. etc. Modifications include a wide-arch body kit (this seems to look more extreme in photo's than it does in real life), debadged grill with welded up bonnet, tinted windows, side exit exhaust, depo indicators, stripped out rear, corbeau bucket seats with momo harnesses, and a full respray in black with a purple tint - someone spent some serious money on this car at some stage! Please note: the coilovers and alloy wheels have been removed and sold, it is currently on standard suspension and steel wheels. The body kit needs some work in places, it has cracked at the rear arch, and started coming away on one of the front wings, so has been bonded back on. This could be an easy project for someone, and being a 2004 car I believe it is good value. The buckets/subframes/harnesses are worth a bit on their own, engine would be worth £300, and like I said everything is there to finish it off, I just don't have time to turn it into the 'show car' it was planned to be. Location: Corsham, nr. Bath Contact: Please feel free to PM, or text/call 07837 892836 This is a project, and I am very much open to offers for a quick sale because I need the storage space!!
  12. Heres my Lupo Sport 1.4 what you think? Standard when i first got it 14K! BMC CDA induction fitted Lowered on FK silverline coilovers After lowered Refurbished ATS Cups 15" How it looks now
  13. Selling my genuine Pipercross Viper carbon fibre cold air feed and induction kit. I am only selling due to returning car to standard specification. This cost £250 new, and is similar to the BMC CDA intakes but higher quality, and real carbon fibre. It was fitted to a 1.4 sport, and sounded lovely! Here is a link to the site: http://www.lkperformance.co.uk/induction-kits/pipercross/pipercross-viper-induction-kit/368415?carId=176840 And description: "Viper air intake unit The technology used in the Pipercross Viper was first seen on the famous Lotus 340R, but soon became available for an ever increasing range of popular road cars. Using 'velocity air force', each Viper air intake directs cold air directly into the engine. The cold air feed takes air from an area of cold, dense air straight into the Viper's inlet, swirling it through a unique Pipercross reverse-flow air filter contained within a carbon fibre heat shield, then into a ram pipe to increase the air pressure before feeding it into the induction system. The carbon fibre heat shield protects the air charge from under bonnet heat keeping it cool -and therefore more dense -thus introducing more oxygen into the combustion mixture, giving increased power. The reverse flow technology filter and 150mm ram pipe make use of the physical phenomenon of air tending to move towards surface area's, creating more air flow on the edge rather than in the centre of the inlet. The unique design of the filter cone and the inlet 'tune' the moving air flow to increase its speed and therefore its pressure maximising the laminar air flow into the engine, again resulting in increased power. Sealed unit cold air intake Genuine carbon fibre heatshield Reverse flow foam filter element Noticeable improvement in mid range performance Highly polished alloy components combined with deep weave carbon fibre for great under bonnet looks" I am asking £120 Location: Corsham, near Bath Contact: Please feel free to PM or call/text 07837 892836
  14. hi, im jordan.. im new to clublupo...go easy on me please! haha usually go onto swdubs but got pointed this way from a few people..!! picked up my new-ish lupo sport today i got it at pretty good bargain from a dealer who got it under part-ex... theres a few things wrong that need sorting, but should be a fun little project and a nice base car!!! decided to play around with what i had laying around.. debadge before: after then i decided i wanted all black badges on the rear, so i took that off before: after (f*cked it up and need to do it again) then i was 50/50 about doing the front, took off the grille. decided agaisnt it for now. decided to give the boot lid a quick tcut and wax ..was getting too late to do the whole car. (ino gromet on the rear due to halfrauds being crap and being sold out) going into town tomorrow so i can pick one up hopefully! thats it for now, payday tomorrow!!!! got a few things on order from ebay (pressed plates, stubby aerial, black rear mirror, wind deflectors, light tint kit (thanks ashcroft), new front lights and indicators...possibly some other stuff, but not sure yet).. needs new wing mirrors as the previous gammon crashed into a wall and wrote off the originals and decided to fit M3 ones instead... not sure when ill be able to fit it all as i work fulltime and the nights are getting darker everyday... but updates as i go also, the passenger door wont open? ive had the door card off and i cant seem to locate the reason as to why...the elec window still works and there is leverage on the lock cable but the door wont unlock/ open. does anybody know what this problem is/ know how to fix it?
  15. Right, so I bought this car with a blown engine in 2009 as a project. Car was on approx 100k miles when I bought it, service history up to 92484 miles, 04/2009 I had the engine replaced with a used one doing 75k miles (receipt available), along with £1500 worth of other work to get the car MOT'd (receipts available). Enjoyed the car for all of 3 months, before cambelt snapped (probably the only thing I didnt replace...I know, in hindsight the most important thing). So I replaced the cambelt (£400ish), car back on road...briefly till it began to smoke. I suspect oil rings. In my haste to get the car back on road I didn't get them changed. Car has been parked on drive for bout 9 months declared SORN, I was hoping to get it on the road again. It starts and runs, but due to change in circumstances I have to sell. It did not pass last MOT. It failed on emissions (...also temporary petrol cap). So selling for SPARES OR REPAIRS. It will be a good project for someone who has time and a bit of cash to spend. Car is lowered by 40mm all round, and has black headlamps. Great fun to drive. Gutted to have to sell it. Also I have these extras which I was hoping to install on the car. 2 x Tornado 6.5" 200W 2 way speakers (I-AG7070) BMC CDA Induction Kit-brand new (ACCDA70-130) Kenwood CD Receiver - (KDC-PSW9521) 2 x JBL P42, 4" 2 way speakers 2 headlamps 3 x 15" GTi Bathurst Rims and tyres, plenty of tread on all Im looking for £1500 or nearest offer for everything, car is located in Bedford. Call me on 07952587998 for queries or viewing. Memphis
