  1. Bit of an odd one here.. AUC 54’ plate 1.0 MPI Arosa 124,xxx miles Its recently become really hesitant when setting off or putting your foot down. It’ll hesitate for a few seconds then pick up. Sometimes it’ll also just rev itself between 500-1000RPM. It also shakes sometimes at about 500rpms From what I’ve read on here most people say it’s either the HT LEADS, COIL PACK, or SPARK PLUGS. Plugs were done about 20k ago and gapped correctly. I am planning to change these soon and see if it changes anything. My main concern though is that there isn’t an EML on the dash when the car does this?? Does this mean it’s not likely to be missfiring and it’s not those parts causing the issue Anyone able to help? thanks
  2. Hi guys... if possible could you help me out with some parts (links on eBay would be helpful). I got a 03 Arosa 1.1s which needs some parts... sorry in advance of wrong terminology, friend told me to check/get these parts. Coil Pack Spark Plugs Leads Also said a air hose is split under the engine cover (I will investigate and get picture so can get help identifying the hose). If anyone can advise on the parts above, ones you have bought and seemed to work well. Even the eBay links to what you have bought would be of help. Thanks in advance.
  3. Hi I have a Vw lupo 1.4 16V Automatic with 88K on the clock Recent work includes: Brakes Full service I was driving along on the M1 around the 60-70mph mark when i heard/felt a small hiccup The car lost all power/drive and i was stranded on the hard shoulder. When the AA guy arrived, he advised the engine had no compression. I tried to start it a couple of times and figured this. AA took off the belts cover and the belts were fine. Then started taking out the spark plugs and found that spark plug number 2 had been squashed. Pretty stumped, parked the car up, not knowing how to progress this. Get a new engine, or do an engine rebuild My question is, how can the piston crash into the spark plug when the con rod is holding it? Is this a common issue? as anyone seen this before? Will my head be warped? seeing as how there was no belt jump, the head gasket seems fine ( correct levels in water tank) Would i be able to simply replace a few parts and get the car going again? Any help would be much appreciated Thank you
  4. Hey guys, bought some replacement spark plugs and I want to change them at home. I know i need a key, but would it be a difficult job to do at home, on 1.4?
