  1. I got a 70,000km aluminum door model Lupo GTI. The Lupo had a fault error in the ECU, and a leak from the rear spoiler caused water to collect in the battery pan in the boot room. I used VCDS to clear the error, charge the battery, change the oil, adjust the air pressure and test drive. The drive shaft boots broke, grease splattered, and the engine check lamp turned on again. I identified all the faulty parts of the car and ordered the parts.
  2. Bought my first car month, a Reflex silver Lupo 1.0 with only 27k miles from new. Here's a picture of when i first got it This is how the car looks now Mods so far: -Removed bump strips -Polo 6r stubby aerial -Heko wind deflectors -Pioneer head unit -6000k HID Xenon headlights -LED Interior light -LED number plate lights -LED Sidelights -Front indicators tinted yellow - Lupo sport front bumper Have a lot of other things i plan on doing in the future but it'll do for now. Will be ordering a 60/50mm AP suspension kit later this week as well as fitting some 14" passat steels. I'll post some more pics up once everything is fitted.

  4. Hi all my first post ! I am after a rear bumper for my lovely silver lupo tdi sport…preferably in silver and excellent condition will consider other colours though if no damage ! Many thanks i'm on south coast at bournemouth
  5. Welcome to the build thread for my Lupo S 1.4 16v. To start with I picked the car up from Maidstone and drove it back to Colchester...Kinda... The alternator died on the way home and I lost power in the outside lane of the M25 I eventually got it home, and now it's been repaired I can start work on it! It's been a fustrating week planning the car out and not having it here to do anything to it. So first thing, the radio it came with is awful and the door speakers are blown... Down to Halfrauds and I did a buy! Fitted the Head Unit with no issues, just waiting on speaker adapters and some other bits in the post till my next update.
  6. Hi All, So I've bought a Silver Lupo GTi. 54 plate and it's been here for it's entire life as far as I'm aware. There are probably some on here who know more about it than me, but here's a few photographs taken on the first weekend of ownership... In the front garden with her stablemate... Lupo want's to play... House of Bruar, A9. No mods happening, she's staying pretty much as she is. She already has KW coilovers (if anyone knows exactly what type please let me know), so I'm more than happy on that front. GTi badge going back on the rear. If I'm paying the insurance, then I want people to know! Single head CD player on route. I've bought a standard GTi 6 speed gear knob, but I'm feeling the love for the Momo solid machined alloy/stainless ball. Looking for a 'new' space saver as I want to carry one on long trips. I'm gonna get a bag made up so it'll sit in the boot. So if anyone has a spacesaver up for grabs. Must be as new. TSO says I'm like a 14 year old boy looking at a pair of boobs in the flesh for the first time! I tend to agree! Ray
  7. Hi Everyone My driver's window regulator broke about a year ago, but due to work commitments and not having the time to, I have only recently replaced it, once it was replaced I discovered that the motor was very weak, I put this down to it not being used of a year and it had began to seize, so I have also replaced that. With these both changed, I'm still experiencing problems where the window won't go back up and on the rare occasion I get it to, it doesn't have the strength to get to the top and just either stops or goes back down. To be clear the window opens like normal but won't close as it should. I'm not sure what could be causing the problem, I removed the window seals and checked their condition, they do seem to be aged, but when I operated the window with them removed that problem was still there. I also checked the motor and it was getting very hot from the load. I'm concerned it could be a wiring issue? or maybe I've been an idiot and fitted the components wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated Andy

  11. I've been meaning to post on here for a while now. i purchased my Lupo in November 2013 and haven't really done much to it, but i have finally finished paying back my family that lent me the money and now it all begins. one thing i stupidly done was not take many pics of it as i bought it! so this is what I've got. the original images of the ad... since purchasing the car i have fitted pressed number plates. i have also 're vamped' my tatty headlining. this was the origional look.. but it didnt work out and i had to re think so this happened... sorry about the poor images.. i then re sprayed my steels black untill i got some new wheels, and then the most recent thing was tinting the front indicators yellow.. so this is my little car so far, i plan to get a new rear bumper ( as mine is battered ) and also de badging. if anyone has any tips or ideas i'm open to take them. Max.
  12. Hi, i'm new and have had my car about 5 months, it's a silver 1.4s and when i bought it it had only done just over 21,000 miles and had a fsh, the car wasn't in great condition and had a nasty dent in the drivers rear quarter. Here it is when i got it home(only have the one picture) First thing i did was paint the badges and lower it on JOM coilovers which left it looking like this for a while. I then bought some Borbet A reps which never made it onto the car along with a set of banded steels. I still have the banded steels, they're 7x13 and 8x13, if anyone is interested in them please PM me.(you can see the terrible repair job that someone done to it) My pedal box then snapped completely and i had the fun job of replacing it . I was surprised that it snapped on such low mileage. After i fixed the pedal box i booked it into the body shop to have the rear quarter repaired as well as both bumpers colour coded and a new indicator panel.=, leaving the car looking like this That isn't me in the pictures by the way. Me and my brother left my friend a nice surprise after work Saturday i got some new wheels and chopped the rear springs for more lows and this is how it currently looks

  14. Beginning was YT51, nice looking silver GTI, on the road from Stoke towards Congleton, was driving home to manchester at around 4am (been to pick up some hweels from peterborough)
  15. Okay so heres my first car. I bought her in January. She came, de-badged with front arches rolled. Tires were bald so got new boots all round. She came with wheel trims but after ripping them off to change tyres i realised she'd look alot nicer without the tacky things. The engine was absolutely disgusting inside and dutterssssssss. So i got a paintbrush and some gum remover and made her all fresh. slammed in some new blue sidelights Then i decided it was time to make my steelies look a little nicer... Got myself some smooth hamerite and a brush and gave them a touch up after sanding. Got some center caps from the local Scrap yard and im really happy with how they've turned out. Now heres some stuff i've put together... More stuff planned for the near future, Black roof soon! Thanks, Sam
  16. Well if you have seen my previous thread you will know that "Custard" my yellow lupo has died, more on that see my last thread: http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=91480&hl= Sooo, "Long live Steve" the silver mk2 arosa. I believe this car has a thread already, previously owned by a good mate "Jak". Bought it at the weekend on an 03 plate with just shy of 60,000 miles; got a few freebies with it in the sale as well; set of Ronal LS's 15 x 7.5 (few flat spots but not too unrepairable), sportex back box (anyone want to buy it?), bonnet bra (again if you want it give me a shout), lupo rear lights, pressed plates and a few gamma radios. Haven't got many pictures atm with the weather and it being dark when i get home but will get some up . thats Steve Dont you just love VAG , mk2 hidden under the snow Had a few issues with the power or lack of on the Arosa, and not the usual "I only have 50 asthmatic horse under the bonnet"; it felt like the car was choking and as if the throttle response wasn't there until the pedal was nearly on the floor. So i cracked on tonight with the usual suspects of throttle body and plugs. i might add it was pissing down at this point haha. havnt seen a body this filthy since my ragged old 99000 mile mk1 cracked on with the carb cleaner and a old cloth nice and shiny ... missed a few bits but it was not budging and wasnt effecting the flap so just left it the **** that came out of it :/ Also whilst cleaning it noticed that the servo air feed pipe has a few splits in it :/ will have to sort that soon.

Noticed whilst cleaning the throttle body that one o the breather pipes (come off the left side of the air-box) was clogged with what looked like a water / oil mix... would be grateful if someone could shed some light on this That's it for now, enjoy and will try to make updates a bit more exciting.
  18. Hey guys, just got my first car last weekend... a silver 1ltr lupo. I have some thoughts as to what i want to do with it so any feedback from you guys would be most appreciated - First thing i wanna do is get the back 3 windows tinted... not thinking of going too dark, but just so you can still slightly see through. - Then i wanna lower it... any help on some coil overs and springs would be great... dont wanna go ridiculous, maybe 40mm or 60mm - Get the roof wrapped gloss black. - Black out the badges - Get new alloys (some suggestions would be great) - Roof bars - New speakers any other suggestions from you guys would be most appreciated Heres some picture for you too look at... Hope you guys like
  19. Turning right at the traffic lights, bout 9.30ish....think it was a girl driving :-)
  20. I am selling my Lupo as I need to get a bigger car with more seats. It's in excellent condition and build quality is very solid as you'd expect from Volkwagen. Comes with full service history from new with 40K miles on the clock. The car had a full service and MOT on 9th December so will come with a full year's MOT. It's very economical and costs about £35 to fill up. It's taxed until the end of January 2012 and costs £115 per year. The Lupo also has driver and passenger airbags, PAS, VW fitted radio, cassette and CD player, Owner's Manual wallet, inertia rear seatbelts and two sets of keys. It's a great car and is very easy to drive for a learner or for someone who's just passed their test - Group 2 insurance so very cheap to run. £2,150 ono (would also consider swapping the Lupo for a larger 5 door car with less than 60K on the clock) Just let me know if you need any more information or you want to come and view it - or drive it. I have this on Ebay where there are photos: http://www.ebay.co.u...9#ht_500wt_1413 ***THIS CAR IS NOW SOLD***THIS CAR IS NOW SOLD***THIS CAR IS NOW SOLD***THIS CAR IS NOW SOLD***THIS CAR IS NOW SOLD***THIS CAR IS NOW SOLD***THIS CAR IS NOW SOLD***THIS CAR IS NOW SOLD***THIS CAR IS NOW SOLD***

  23. Hi, the time has come where I can finally afford the car I wanted to get before I got this so my baby is going up for sale to fund it! Has been extremely well looked after in my ownership and is in mint condition After spending a couple of months searching for the right car I found this little gem in Mansfield with a company called 'Small car Company' with FSH HPI clear and 1 woman owner since new, bought the car on 47,348 miles for £2,700 with all purchase receipts to prove. Spec; (WILL NOT SPLIT ANY PARTS SORRY) 54k on the clock, will rise as it's daily 2002 1.4S (75bhp) in Reflex Silver FSH not including this years most recent service as I've done it myself! (service items detailed below) but does include MOT certificate for this year and engine service in march this year HPI CLEAR Logbook with FSH included RECENT SERVICE includes new air filter, fuel filter and oil filter with oil change, a new pencil coil (also have an extra spare included in sale - £20 a piece) as well as new OEM brake disks and pads (also had an engine service professionally at C-G Autos (10/03/2011) with receipt and stamp to prove) GEARBOX recon and rebuild 18/02/2011 at 49k miles at the cost of £420 including 2 years warranty (still has 16 months warranty left with cleckheaton gearboxes - with all receipts and warranty slip included CLUTCH was also replaced with new original VW parts at Rhodes Motors Clutch Specialists in Halifax (14/02/2011) at cost of £280 with receipt to prove and so is good for another 60-70k RECENT MOT by Charlie Brown's in Halifax literally this weekend gone, flew through and of course have certificate. SUSPENSION includes £400 AP coilovers (can get you as low as you need and ride very well; from experience with cheap coilovers that I had initially bought) currently fitted to car as well as standard suspension (still in complete working order with all parts boxed and ready to take away WHEELS include Compomotive TH-monos with good 195/45/15 tyres (4-5mm all round) currently off the car (to avoid road salts and bad weather) wheel spec is 15x8 et25 with spigots for VW centre bore, have been repolished to mirror finish rather than diamond cut so they are easier to keep clean and IMO look better, these wheels are spotless and dont have a mark on them. I also still have the original receipt from rimstyle in 09/2010 at the cost of £684 and they are only 13 months old now. I will also include the original 13" steels and spotless trims, its a set of 5 all with good 175/60/13 tyres on INTERIOR includes full leather interior worth £1,500; ford RS turbo Recaro front seats and the rest at GTI spec (rear seats, all 4 door cards and parcel shelf) the rear cards have speaker mesh so you can fit rear speakers, I haven't done so), parcel shelf has had the dip/groove filled in and trimmed and looks great. All leather is BMW red nappa with diagonal stitching. Leather is only about 3 months old and will come with 2 front seat covers EXTERIOR has a smoothed front bumper reg recess, legal pressed plates, rub strips and badges removed, rear badge has been split with black backing painted reflex silver to match car de-wiper with glass blank at rear and aero wipers up front rolled and flared arches all round Paint is very good with only one mark, being on the bootlid next to the window on the passenger side pillar, very small and only noticeable up close and probably wouldnt bother most people but I like things to be clean Roof lining trimmed in black damask and dash trim painted textured dark red to match leather Sale will include uprated door speakers and unfitted tweeters which are all Alpine IIRC, as well as a 900W EDGE active sub and Kenwood headunit (can find full details if required) - also including original VW 2 part stereo with tape as well as CD player I've had the chassis notched on drivers side to allow lower ride height without fouling the drive shaft on the chassis, its a really neat job (picture is mid process before corrosion protection was applied so it is now a primer grey colour) Car has camber shims set at maximum 1.5 degrees fitted on the rear to get the compos tucked in, doesnt effect handling at all, if anything it feels more planted in corners literally the only bad thing about this car is that the tax is due 31st Nov! Car is spotless inside and out, feels solid as a rock and runs great as its very well looked after and whenever a problem arises its fixed ASAP Price is £4,000 EDIT FORGOT TO ADD PICTURES, DUH. How it will look when you turn up (i.e winter mode ) Interior shots Car shots only shot I have from back end to show all reds, dewiper and colour coded badge :S Wheels If you want pictures of anything else give me a shout and I'll get them for you £4,000 WILL NOT SPLIT ANY PARTS SORRY No rush for sale, no timewasters RING 07812212822 or reply on here or PM since I'm on pretty much every day anyway Cheers, Max
