Hi, so i'm looking to buy some coilovers and have been looking around at different ones and this is some that I have found in the budget range :- Jom Coilovers £189 Fk Ak Street £185 Ta Technix £189 then into the higher price being :- Ap Coilovers (straight from AP) £385 Fk Highsport £355 There are probably many others around but I have hear some bad reviews about different ones, was wondering if to spend a bit on some expensive ones or just get budget coilovers and if so what ones. Anyone know to a lupo 3L thats breaking? or sat still long enough to borrow the gearbox ecu? My cars been at a garage for months now and I need to rule out the ecu as the problem so i can move forward. I've paid for one from germany but it's never showed and now appears to be back up for sale on eBay. I've now got to go through ebay disputes to get my money back or part sent, which will take time and it may not even be the problem. So If I can find a part here it would be a lot easier. I'm in the west midlands. I can obviously pay, pick up, whatever Cheers for any help Graham

I have been trying to get a hold of some alloys for my 1.0 2000 arosa but i dont know what im looking at ! All theese random numbers ! Just want some second hand alloys worth under £100 that will definatly fit !

So some may remember I had the issue with the car not starting atall and vagcom have me loads of codes and none helped point me in the direction that wires had become loose lol but one of the codes was about the O2 sensor. Now the wirings all fixed and car starts... Usually! If I leave her in the sun and the car heats up the engine won't fire in just turns over, and like last night I can literally be stuck for 3 hours waiting for it to cool down. Also happens of I get fuel for example and when I got to start it back up because its warm it won't start and have to wait for it to cool down again! I had a problem with the oil breather as it was overly clogged and smoking like a trooper, however that's been cleaned out and still having the issue, also the temp gauge is iffy but being a normal lupo fault I've over looked this, if I stop at lights or something ill notice the temp has dropped right to the bottom then ill start driving again and it'll come back up to the middle. I'm waiting to get it plugged in again but may be a few weeks, any ideas? I've been thinking 02 sensor but starting to doubt myself! -

Hey everyone, I've had my Lupo for just over a year now (first car) and have been on here for a while but haven't really posted much. I have a 1.4 yellow Lupo named Lenny (Leonard if/when he crashes) and I love him So far I've removed the little rear badges, the rear windscreen wiper have replaced my aerial with a tiny one. As you may have noticed I'm not so good with the technical stuff. I have big plans for my Lupo but will need a lottttttt of assistance from my boyfriend and hopefully everyone on here. hi, I have now had my Lupo GTI for 18 months. I have been after one for a long time. I managed to get a 02 plate GTI 53k on the clock in flash red with heated black leather, sunroof, a/c and vw single cd under original head unit. it has the original bathursts but they have been sprayed black. I have had it sorned as i have a company car but I now have decided I miss it too much and want to get it back on the road. Question-Do I keep it standard as a classic and even get the bathursts put back to standard, or do I mod it? it is tempting to mod it after what I have read on here but I am at the age where I appreciate classic originals that are detailed.

Hello Ive bought my first ever VW lupo, its a 1.4 16v auto and i love it! However, I was driving it normal london conditions - i.e Standstill traffic and the water sign started flashing and the temperature needle had hit 110. Im seriously hoping the gasket isnt blown, i doubt it is as the coolant is a normal colour and there is so far no loss of oil When i bought the car it used to run a little cool but i assumed it may have been missing a thermostat. To be honest, after all the overheating issues ive experienced in BMW's i wasnt that bothered if it ran a little cool. I've lost no coolant and no oil. There was no steam being released from anywhere. It feels like the electric fan didnt kick in either but im not 100% sure of this. Seeing as how I have enough oil and coolant, im thinking the thermostat, fingers crossed theres one in there has failed. the hose pipes going to the electric fan ispiping hot, the return pipe or lower pipe is cooler, this is leading me to believe the thermostat is stuck in the closed position and not allowing the water to travel? When i drove with the heating on full blast i got hot air so i know its not a bleeding issue. im thinking of taking the thermostat out for the time being and leaving it out, can i cause any harm doing this for a short while? plus can anybody how to to actually take the stat out? im guessing i squeeze the clip, take the pipe off and the stat should just be there. By the way if i squeeze the clip do I ned to replace the clip or can i stick on a jubilee clip should i need one? Plus once i open it up do i need to bleed the system again? Can anyone please direct me to the bleed valve as well? Any help is much appreciated Ta

Hi Guys, Can anyone help me with this. I've got a 1.4 lupo sport 2002 and i want to put a K&N cone filter on it, i've been told it's pretty easy but would like some guidance. Can anyone tell me what i have to? Do i have to take the air box off? Do i need a mushroom filter as well? Just any help would be great. Cheers

Back in april 2011 my misses blow up her lupo 1.4 16v S At the time one of my mates was selling his Seat Ibiza Mk2 G40 which he recently bought off edition.. (blue/purple one) So she bought the G40 and got the engine taken out (Wouldnt let me touch it as she wanted to do everything to her car herself) Sounded like a awesome idea so took it to a garage down the road and got the engine modified to fit in. That bits sorted. Sits straight and looks like its ment to be in there. The issues were still having with it is the wiring is a mess. Shes had someone look at it recently but never seems to get anywhere. Its still in pieces and i think its passed its time and needs doing. (I haven't got a clue where to start with it) HELP!!!! Lol. Anyone know how to or know someone that can come and have a look over it and fix it? Will pay with British money and loads of tea or coffee! I'm in Clacton-On-Sea. Near Colchester. CO15 area. Hi, over the past few days my lupo has occasionally decided it doesn't want to start. The ignition will turn the engine over but I've had to pump the throttle a few times before it will eventually come to life. Also its not just starting from cold, the other day i drove to the shops, left it for 20 minutes, came back and it wouldn't start. any ideas?

Hi there guys, I recently bought r32 heated leathers for my Lupo which came with the loom and also the mk4 golf switches which fit the later Lupo dash. My Lupo has the earlier dash which means that these switches will not fit. Then I stumbled on a pair of the switches on ebay and bought them to find out that the connectors on the rear are completely different to those of mk4 switches so i cant connect the loom up to the switches. Is there any chance i can purchase connectors for the earlier switches from anywhere therefore allowing me to mod the loom to fit them or have i got to buy another loom that will fit into the connectors? I am wanting to upgrade my throttle body on my lupo 1.4s 16v (AHW engine) been told that the polo 1.4 16v AFH engine throttle body is a straight swop is this right? And which polo is that off 6n2? And I want to upgrade my inlet manifold as I have a ko3 turbo on my lupo and been told I could crack it with the boost? Been told I can use the polo AFH inlet manifold as well but as far as I know they are still plastic :/ Any help would be nice

Hi all, I picked up a Soft Blue Lupo 1.4s today, I have always loved them (and my MINIs) so chuffed that I now have one of each. As soon as I got in I ordered some 15" black gloss wolfrace slot mags which I have been internet stalking for a while, a black mesh grill and the obligatory richbrook tax disc holder in Monaco blue. It's only day one but loving being a Lupo owner already Looking forward to learning all about your Lupos!!

Hello ladies and gentlemen of club lupo i wish to present to you my lupo "lois" my 99 1.4 16v which has had a sport put in it (apparently) atm i have a custom skip exhaust (as in an exhaust out of a skip) coilovers which are being replaced for lowering springs and im in the middle of chucking some Kyalami alloys on

Treated myself to a £££Pioneer unit & looking to sell the original on. It's the original Lupo double space CD/Radio, think called 'Beta', Now it's out, will I need to dig out the code ? I've had the battery off before & it didnt challenge me after that, but now it's been without power for a fortnight perhpas makes a difference. Cheers

Basically my mate has water in the drivers footwell and behind in the rear footwell and we both have no idea where it could have come from, any ideas to get this sorted?
