I noticed all 3 of my brake lights have gone on my 2003 1.0 VW Lupo. So instantly thinking it's the switch. Have replaced the switch and they still don't work. Checked the fuse and they're fine. Just for good measure I replaced the bulbs and still don't work. What else could it be??? Can anyone help?

Anybody have any experience with tentioners and belts? When the cars ticking over there's a whining noise coming from somewhere in the engine bay and gets worse when you add revs! I thought it could be belt tensioner? Like **** bearings or something but wanted to be sure before ordering the part! If anyone has had any experience with something for like this and can help I'll be very grateful! Cheers ??

Hello everyone, I've just bought myself my first VW, it's a fox! Auntie went blind so got it from her and it's only for 22,000 miles! Already got some heko wind reflectors ordered, trying to find some alloys but unsure of what size to get! Going to black off my rear and front badges, but not sure what else to do! Any one who has got parts or any help let me know it will be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys, Mark.

Hello, I have a 2003 VW LUPO and just fitted a subwoofer to it. Fitted the sub perfectly without a problem, went to turn the ignition and there is no electrical power to the car whatsoever. I have measured the Voltage on the battery and it is 12.5v which is almost perfect. Also checked the earth point which the sub was wired to. Completely disconnected all power to the sub and still have nothing. Gone through and checked all fuses (ones on top of the battery and below steering wheel). And yes I have connected everything to the battery. Feel completely lost with this. Might anybody has any ideas at all please don't hesitate to contact me. Feel free to text as well 07713119095

Hi there guys just wondering if anyone had an experience with changing/replacing a fuel tank. My lupo is a 2001 1.4 Petrol just wondering if anyone had any advice? taken the brackets off and disconnected all of the pipes my problem is with the filler neck. Do i have to remove the subframe or is there a connection where I can disconnect the two? Thanks in advance

First of all hello to everyone, I am new to this and will probably annoy most of you as I am sure this has been covered before. I I am in the middle of an engine swap, I have a 1.4s (75hp) and am looking to swap for what I believe to be a (100hp) 1.4 sport engine, this is out of my friends car and was a second engine to him so don't know much about it... Went to fit it yesterday to get it all hooked up (on my origional ecu) didn't fire no spark, then went to switch his ecu to find out it is totally different, so would I be able to just switch out the engine loom of his car (100hp engine) if so how do I go about doing this? Where does the loom go to? Thanks in advance Kyle

Hi my door stay is broken I've had to remove the bolt that holds it onto the cars body. The part that is attached to the car looks as if some form of welding had snapped. Will this cause MOT fail or not. Thanks

Went and bought myself some aluline turbine 15s 7j for my lupo sport tdi. I want some stretches tyres but not too much, anyone got a few suggestions and pictures I could see for ideas? Thanks gaz

Hi, The battery light keeps flashing on the dashboard of my 1.0l SEAT Arosa and then the battery runs dead after a few days, sometimes less than a few days if driving just in the day with no lights on. I am unsure on why it is doing it, as I have changed the alternator and bought a new battery. I have had a mechanic and an auto electrician look at it and they are clueless. Any ideas? Thank you!

Hey Ive been on this forum for a while and never made an account so I finally decided to and I'm stuck so I'm hoping somebody can help me? (I will be making a thread about my story of my lupos and now this arosa, I have a misfire problem on my 04 1.4 Arosa S and I would appreciate suggestions on how to fix it.. Steps I have taken so far are; Changed HT Leads Changed Spark Plugs Changed Coilpack i have also tried disconnecting the battery and waiting to remove the engine management light and it worked and the car seemed a lot better but then it came back flashing disappeared again then came back and stuck and I'm back to square one all advise is appreciated, thanks.

Hi, This started when I was driving home the other day, the horn just started beeping randomly when the wheel was turning, at first I thought I must have accidentally hit the horn but it got worse and worse as I continued to drive. Firstly it was just when I turned the wheel every now and then, I took the air bag out of the center of the steering wheel to check the connections and the they seemed fine, nothing was obviously out of place or touching. When I put it back on the horn was beeping constantly which was weird. I took the horn off and checked the plug with my multi meter, was getting 0v stationary wheel and at 11-12v when pressing the horn, but when I moved the wheel would get anywhere from 3-10v which I thought was weird. The horn is now off the car to temporary solve the problem but I'm not sure if I have a short somewhere. Any of you guys had a similar problem? Any help would be appreciated Cheers

Hi there, There is a VW Lupo with an automatic (electronic) transmission (like this on the site 22). The transmission was repaired, & there are 6 pieces of wires & there are 6 connectors on the gearbox. Here i uploaded a picture about this. The wires are: the nr. 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9. My question is, how can i identify, what wire belongs to what connector on the gearbox? I find this info nowhere in the service manuals. The wire nr. 4 & 5 are blue & red. What colour is the upper & what is the lower? & how can i identify the wires nr. 6,7,8,9 & for what connector belongs these on the gearbox? Thanks for the help, best regards! -
Tube coming of air intake has a valve and is blowing think its meant to have a hose attached but were does it go. Vacuum valve?

I'm not sure if this is right place to ask this, but My Lupo is 1.4 TDI 2001. I'm planning to buy K&N 57i Intake Kit, but there's not model for Diesel Lupos. I'm just wondering does VW Polo 1.4 tdi Intake Kit fit to also Lupo. If someone could be nice and link the right intake kit for me here?

Hello, I Recently bought a sat nav from Garmin and i want to set up the fuel economy part of it, but i have been searching the the internet for the City Fuel Economy and the Mwy Fuel Economy and cant see it anywhere! Well not for the 1.0 litre anyway! Does anyone have the data or a link to a website that could help me out? Many thanks!

hello, so im looking at buying some new rims (Axe ex8's) they have a 30mm offsett so im looking for an 8mm spacer to get the rims back to standard fitment. does anyone know where i can get longer bolts or if i even need to get any? thanks, Jason

Hello, was just wondering how the power steering fluid can be drained? I want to drain it has it hasn't been done in a while plus i feel like a new load of power steering fluid will help keep everything in check. Any help would be great and Pictures will also be a huge help Thanks.
