  1. Just heard through the VW grapevine that the Up! GTI opens for UK ordering 2nd November and the first ones will be in showrooms by 27th December! Its finally happening! No idea on prices at the moment though.
  2. Hello everyone, I am looking for over 2 months now to purchase the left xenon headlight, but for some reason is so difficult to find even brand new. If someone have a left xenon headlight for sale please let me know. If sold only in pairs I will be happy to purchase both. I am looking only for very good condition headlights! Thank you in advance. PS: Thank you for all forum members for the valuable info shared on here for other Lupo GTI enthusiasts like myself.
  3. Hi guys, not been on here for a long time, unfortunately my return is to sell my gti. Am I allowed facebook links? just saves me copying and pasting and having to reupload all the images. @jon_273 would you like your old gti back?
  4. The day has come to sell my Arosa as I've now bought a new car. I've owned the car since November 2014 and covered approx 25k in it since. It also has a huge amount of receipts/past MOT's and the V5C in my name and the original 2 keys (one with locking buttons). Pictures here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Seat-Arosa-Sport-100bhp-Big-spec-lots-of-upgrades-/142382581436? Spec is as below; - 1.4 100bhp sport AUB 109k - doesn't burn a drop of oil. - Custom Chrome exhaust cat back - Direnza stainless manifold - AP coilovers - 12 months old in perfect order. - Whiteline rear anti-roll bar - Rota GRA 15x6.5, rare now in 15' as they only make them in Subaru size now, with brand new rota caps (perfect condition refurbed in Jan) - Yokohama S Drives 195/45/15 - bought new when wheels were done - 20mm H&R rear spacers. - Momo 300mm, red stitching with a genuine boss and yellow horn button. - Kode red gear knob - Alpine CDE235bt Bluetooth stereo - Cambridge rear lights - Brembo discs front and back, green stuff pads (front) Brembo (rear) - Heko wind deflectors - Dash vents painted splash effect, they look nice (people always ask about them), but to be honest they're not the best finish. - Really decent rubber car mats Recent parts fitted, most/all will have a receipt... - New ignition leads (bigger and don't fit holder) - New battery - New coil pack - New tyres - S Drives - Brake light switch - Rear Brembo pads - Wishbones, ball joints & track rods - Tracking done at A-line with the printout. Serviced in my ownership every 5k with Castrol / Mobil 1 oil and decent parts - not all stamped but lots of receipts from Motorfators with the reg number for service parts. Last service was one was 2k ago. Bad bits... - Bodywork is tatty at the best. Loads of lacquer peel and about 7 shades of yellow. - Rear arches look like they were rolled by a blind person paint has cracked. also paint has flaked off around the rear number plate. - the lip on the sills on both sides are bent/damaged (used as a jacking point by someone), not really an issue but you can see it. - Windows have a mind of their own but always work, drivers one sometimes needs to be asked twice or need a hand halfway up. Passenger one opens only with passenger switch. - Rear right caliper sticks on slightly sometimes and can hear it, still stops as it should. - At some point, the engine light has been taped over, and it is on (can see it in the dark) because of exhaust lambda readings, but the car drives spot on. I also have lots of parts for lying around for it, that will come with the car if the buyer wants, including original seat 5 spoke alloys. Now I know roughly what this car will break for, but I don't have the time or can be bothered to do it. So grab a bargain on the whole lot. No swaps. CASH ON COLLECTION £750 ono
  5. Hello all. Let's start from the very beginning. So I bought my Lupo GTI just under 3 years ago now - 28th June 2014 to be precise. I originally bought the car with every intention of making it a road going show car, after attending various local/nationwide shows with a select group of friends. The level of attention to detail of some of these cars was second to none and it was really quite inspiring to see first hand for myself. Growing up in the North West of England (Wigan) I was lucky to be exposed to a large variety of different automotive cultures. Be it everything from Japanese, German, VAG to Classic, High Performance and Concourse show cars. I started driving early 2012 and despite much controversy my first car was a 1.2 Vauxhall Corsa D (Unlimited Edition) . However after 2 years of ownership in 2014 I decided it was time for a change. I had recently gained employment at Jaguar Land Rover - Halewood and my insurance started to dip a little. It was then I set out on the hunt for a car to tick a few boxes. I wanted something fun, nimble, fast but at the same time something that wasn't going to break the bank insurance/fuel wise. After weeks of what seemed like endless searching I fell in love with a Black Lupo GTI I had found on AutoTrader. The owner, a 56 year old lady from Rugby, Warwickshire. The car itself was absolutely perfect (Black, 6 Speed, Low mileage 64K, FSH, Completely standard and unmolested). It was everything I was looking for.
  6. I can only find plastic clutch Slave cylinders for the GTI? Is there any other options from other vehicles to use? Reason I would like to change is I don't like the plastic bleeder valve and i feel plastic is cheaper and not as durable as metal?
  7. Looking to buy a motorbike so sadly the Lupo has to be sold! It's a very tidy example. Feel free to ask any questions. I can also add more photos of any specific areas if required. Model: Lupo GTi 6 Speed MOT: Until July but will MOT test it upon sale for free Engine size: 1600 Fuel type: Petrol Description including modifications: Cambelt and waterpump are brand new (85k) Nearly full service history 85k miles Standard, Unmodified Excellent condition Location: Ipswich Price: £3495
  8. First of all hi to all members of this club,i have readen so many topics of this forum, you are doing a great job. My name is John and i am from Greece, unfortunately not so much lupo-lovers there so not much info on our blogs/forums even mechanics. At this point before i ask you my questions i will ask you to forgive me for any language mistakes,i really try to use English correctly. I know from other topics you would suggest go sell your lupo s and buy a lupo gti,but in Greece there are no gti at all. There are 2-3 that are converted to 1.6 but no GTI at all and no 6speed gearboxes.I have readen many topics from this forum propably the most organised all over the world for lupo.Lupo used to be my favourite car as a kid and i bought one 1.4s as my first car. The seller tha was a common "friend" with a cousin of mine lied to us that it was a sport and i bought it...So because i really like this car i would really like to convert to 1.6,not so high insurance etc.I am not thinking at all 1.8/ So i have a lupo 1.4 s 75 bhp cable throttled (AKQ engine code) QUESTIONS 1)As much as i know the engine mounts are the same i will not need changing them right? 2)Gearbox will fit or i need one from polo?i would prefer short shifting not so much high speed 3)i would also like to keep cable throttle because its a bit more "aggressive"(cant think the right word to use) is that possible? 4)as much as i read things that are absolutely neccesary to do the convert are engine(mr. obvious from Greece xD),engine and interior loom, ecu and chip from key? 5)do i need driveshafts? 6)can i use for the start my old exhaust system until i have more money to go for a performance exhaust system? 7)one other question if i can fit the whole dashboard from a polo gti 6n2 because mine has some damage? 8)is something that i need not mentioned? 9)are there are many ecu options from 1.6?i mean are there ecu that can be chipped, remapped and some not? 10)Sorry for so much said and asked i tried to be accurate, really appreciate your work in this place, you are the craziest lupo lovers seen.Have seen some unbelievably nice projects around. thank you for reading and answering
  9. As we all know the GTI spoiler is a bad design and allows water in which then causes paint blistering... What is the best way to seal it all back up? Light - The OEM gaskets obviously fail and I dont believe they can be bought individually as no part number is on ETKA... I purchased a BMW E36 gasket to see if that would work but isn't the best of fits... What could I replace it with? Clear silicone? Foam Tape? The light does need to be able to come apart down the road again... Spoiler - As standard there is foam tape, Should this just be replaced or is there a better substitute? again silicone of some sort?
  10. Ok so I know you cant bake the GTI headlights to split them due to the sealant unlike the normal ones... So my question is can normal headlight lenses fit the GTi headlights? (just the front clear plastic) If i could manually remove the lense from the GTI by dremel etc would a normal lenses fit? PS... The GTI headlight casing is dead anyways (crash damage, cracked lense, no tabs,)
  11. Hi, had a look round but can't seem to find an answer to this... My Lupo gti is going to be more track focused from now on, so I'm wondering if there is a better radiator than the OEM one? Want to make sure the car keeps cool on track. Any help or ideas would be appreciated!
  12. I've just treated the GTI to a White Line Rear ARB, I've read they make a huge difference to the handling so I'm looking forward to getting it! Those with it fitted, what setting did you find best? I know there are three settings, just wondered what owners found the best! Thanks in advance!
  13. Hello all, the twin cup holders in my lupo gti seem to droop slightly in the middle and rattle slightly when driving. I'm trying to sort out all of my rattles because they do my head in haha. Has anyone had a similar problem or is it just me? I've tried felt tape on the under side but that didn't help anything. Thanks in advance. Lewis.
  14. Make: Silver Lupo Gti 1.6 (6 Sped Manual Gearbox) MOT: January 2018 Engine: 1.6Gti Location: Peterborough/Cambridgeshire Price: 1600 ovno So I am testing the waters for selling my Lupo Gti (6 Speed) with an honest all I know ad. I originally bought this not knowing much about the Lupo’s (Other than I wanted one) It was to be used as a second car that I could spend a bit of time working on and have some fun with, I paid 1800 for it in (I believe) May last year. I recently inherited a bit of money and have since bought a classic beetle that I tend to spend some money on which is why I am debating selling the Lupo. Below I will list the usual Good and Bad: Bad Points: Needs a new starter motor (makes classic noise sometimes on start) I can have this fixed if I do sell Door straps aren’t great, Could do with replacing as doors do not stay open. Bit of rust where one of the previous owner rolled the arches, this is just on the actual rolled bit so isn’t that bad There was previously a bit of a Gearbox Leak and is a bit stiff going into 2nd Gear – I had my mechanic seal the leak which seems to of sorted this and with some new Gearbox oil 2nd gear is a lot better, I drive the car back and forth to work sometimes and its causes me no drama. There are bits of rust around the car in the usual Lupo places bottom of the doors etc. – nothing major though I reversed off my drive and scraped a little bit of the rear arch on my friends van – its scraped and dented the side a little bit but this is fresh so there is no rust and it’s not really bad. I’ve probably made it sound a lot worse than what it actually is, but one thing I hate Is buying a car and then having horrible surprises so I would rather be honest as I do believe in Karma. Good Points: Just had a new MOT (15/01/2017) Had a full service (15/01/2017) Cambelt and HT Leads replaced 4 Good Tyres A book with LOTS of receipts and history (Even managed to find a couple of the old owners on Facebook who had great things to say about the car) New front brake discs and pads New wiper blades Completely Standard (Expect the wheels have been sprayed black at some point) Interior is all in great condition for the age No excessive smoke or smells from exhaust Pulls in every gear and drives well (really is faster than I expected) I managed to get the rear spoiler brake to work J The car has done 157k this worried me at first and I did initially want to change it but after I had a mechanic look around he advised me that the engine seems fine and he thinks it would be a waste to change now as it runs ok, the engine bay all looks clean and no sign of leakage. I am open to offers but please nothing silly, I understand it’s not in show condition but you have to really see it in person it’s not a dog by any means but just needs a bit of TLC. If I can’t get a decent enough sale I will just keep it and tidy it up myself over time. I have been looking on eBay for a while and I yet to see many sell for less than £3000 especially for a 6 speed. I am currently at work below is the only picture I have on my phone – but I will certainly post some more so you get a better picture. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.

  16. Hi All, It is with deep regret I am selling my Lupo GTi. Only selling because my son has started learning to drive and unfortunately at 6' 3" he is too tall for it It is a 2002 model with aircon and the 6 speed gearbox in black. It has just 2 previous owners and 89k miles backed up with a Full Service History tons of paperwork including a fully stamped service book, service invoices, MOTs and original sale documents. It has been serviced to within an inch of its life, primarily by VW main dealers and a VW independent specialist. I will post more photos and details up soon but it is a standard GTi i.e. standard suspension, Bathurst alloys and the grey/red interior. It even has the original number plates from the supplying dealer ! It is a lovely, genuine car that has been super reliable for me. It has had an easy life in my ownership as it has to share me with 3 other cars I own It can be viewed in North London, approx. 10 minutes from J24 of the M25 or 10-15 minutes from J2 of the M1 It is quite hard to price these as prices seem to have a wide range. I am asking only £3,500 for my little GTi which I think is on the cheaper end, particularly considering the low owners, mileage and document supported service history.
  17. Bought my first Lupo GTI a couple of months in raven blue, which is personally my favourite colour.
  18. Lupo GTI Polished Boot and Bonnet Struts Nice upgrade for any Lupo or Arosa. I bought them ages ago but never got round to putting them on and don't have the car now. £15 plus £5 P+P Will consider offers. I accept PayPal.
  19. VW Lupo 1.6 GTI 6 speed with full factory options. Originally registered to VW UK Head office.Flash Red with original Bathurst alloys sprayed black70831 MilesFull Service HistoryJust serviced 3/9/201611 Months MOTBlack Heated Leather seats (RARE)Electric Sunroof (EXTREMELY RARE)AirconOriginal VW Cassette with single cd2 original working VW button keys with spare bladeOriginal VW black leather binder with complete manuals and service book.I have owned the car for 4 yrs, adament i wanted to keep it as original as possible to ensure this stays a rare future classic. I have had to replace the alternator and the battery 2 yrs ago, I used to have a company car so the Lupo sat in the garage for a while unused which also helped save on mileage! It was originally a VW UK car (not a dealer demo) with me being the 3rd private owner. 7 VW main dealer Service stamps followed by 2 vw specialist service stamps and stamp for additional cam belt, water pump and auxiliary belt replaced 28/4/14 @57765 miles.I replaced all 4 tyres with Toyo T1R, 18 months ago which have only covered about 6000 miles.Due to growing children, I cannot keep her anymore and desperately hope she's goes to a home that looks after her as much as we have. These are becoming VERY RARE and classic especially with the factory options. BEWARE as I have noticed quite a few imports for sale lately, please note this car started life with VW UK head office hence the factory options and condition.Bad bits from someone with OCD!-There is a small stone chip just above n/s/r arch, a small scratch bottom corner n/s rear bumper and slight wear around boot handle. That is me being picky. The leather is in exceptional condition. Please bear in mind this is a 14yr old car that is in very good condition for its age with original bodywork including the alloy doors, wings and bonnet.£4995 OVNO Serious buyers, NO time wasters please.I have been as honest as possible with this advert, so get yourself a low mileage, fantastic condition future classic!I am based in Maidstone, Kent. 07904042022Thanks for looking.
  20. Hello. As per description. Does anyone have one kicking around? I can arrange collection. Thanks Jo
  21. I'm wanting to get back into the lupo scene, I need a lupo sport! Preferably near Kent but I don't mind a road trip. Any condition, I need a new project. cheers Tom
  22. Does anyone have a good condition GTI standard airfilter box for sale? Mines running a Sport one at the moment, but they don't have the lug on the cover to hold the engine cover on the n/s, so need a GTI one! Thanks in advance

  24. Make: VW Model: Golf Gti (mk5) MOT: Jan 2017 TAX: Engine size: 2.0 Fuel type: petrol Description including modifications: Just testing the water on this one! Looking to sell my mk5 golf gti, I have owned this car for a couple of years now (having sold my lupo sport make way for it!) and the time has come to move on. The car itself is in very good condition both inside and out (there is the odd mark here and there but nothing unexpected for the age). It is pretty much standard apart from team heko wind deflectors all round and the wheels have been sprayed grey/black. It has just been serviced and the front tyres were replaced about 3000 miles ago. The main thing with this car is the mileage, most gtis have a good few thousand miles under there belt, mine has only 57000 (this will go up as it is my daily driver). Other than that there's not much more to say, everyone knows what to expect with a car like this and mine is ideal as a standard car or a good base to modify! Only selling as looking to get a smaller engined car for my wife to learn in! Location: east Yorkshire Contact: 07506757337 Price: £6500
